The definition of a very good boy 🐾

This handsome boy arrived at the studio freshly groomed and looking rather smart. He was incredibly well trained, so patient and an absolute dream to photograph.

His family had actually booked a cake smash for his little human brother, but of course, the family photographs wouldn’t have been complete without him too.

Just look at those eyes and magnificent ears! 🐶

Dogs are part of the family, so they are always welcome to be included in your family photographs at the studio.

Meet Rusty 🐾

Rusty came along with his family for their newborn session because their first family photograph together simply wouldn’t have been complete without him.

He absolutely loved exploring the studio, running around and sniffing every corner before coming back for plenty of strokes and cuddles from me. He was such a funny, affectionate little character and I loved having him there.

His family have chosen to keep their photographs private, which I will always respect, but they kindly gave me permission to share Rusty’s portraits.

Just look at that face and those perfectly alert ears! 😍

Pets are part of the family too, and where possible, they can be included in your family photographs when arranged before your session.

A day late, but let’s be honest, dogs deserve celebrating every day 🐾

Happy International Dog Day to all the wonderful dogs I’ve had the pleasure of photographing over the years. From perfectly posed pups to the wonderfully chaotic ones who would much rather explore, play and cover me in kisses, every one of them has brought their own personality to their session.

Now I want to know which one we got closest!

James’s 11th birthday Eminem shoot deserved a proper photo post too 🖤📸
If you saw the Reel, you’ll know that James asked if we could try recreating some Eminem portraits for his birthday.
He picked four of his favourites and then we headed into the studio to see what we could do.
Swipe through and you'll see each original Eminem photograph followed by our recreation with James.
I had to work out the lighting, positioning, angles and composition for each image, while James had the arguably harder job of getting the expressions right 😂
I absolutely loved doing this with him.
Photography is my job, but getting to use it to create something purely because my boy thought it would be cool is pretty special.
And VERY James.
Funny, quirky, a little bit different and completely happy owning it. ❤️

When your son turns 11 and his birthday request is to recreate some Eminem photos… 😂📸

James has loved Eminem for ages and has asked me before if we could try recreating some of his portraits. So for his 11th birthday, we finally did it!

We chose a selection of Eminem images that James loved and then worked through them together in my studio, figuring out the lighting, poses, angles and expressions for each one.

This Reel shows the original inspiration followed by our version 👀

I absolutely LOVED doing this with him. It became a proper photography challenge for me, but also one of those shoots I'll remember because it was completely James.

Funny, quirky, a little bit different and absolutely owning it ❤️

Happy 11th birthday, James.
