Easy to make good content when the hotel and views look like this 🌊

Based in Zakynthos this 5 star resort was the ideal getaway for a few days of sun, relaxing by the pool and stunning greek food 🤌🏻

✅ Private beach.
✅ Sea views from the room.
✅ Sunset dinners.
✅ Poolside cocktails.
✅ A fully equipped gym.
✅ And plenty of spots around the resort to switch off and enjoy the Greek sunshine ☀️

When I shoot hotels, I’m not just looking for photos of the room. I’m looking to capture everything that makes the stay memorable.

How I shoot cafes & coffee shops ☕️📸

When I’m shooting a cafe, I’m not thinking about individual photos. I’m thinking about creating a complete content library for the business

That means capturing:

📸 behind the scenes setups
☕ drinks being made
🤍 human interaction
⚡ flash photography
🍫 texture and ingredients
📐 multiple angles
🏆 hero images for marketing

The biggest mistake I see is people taking 20 versions of the same photo. Instead, every image should serve a different purpose.

1️⃣ Some images sell the product.

2️⃣ Some images sell the atmosphere.

3️⃣ Some images sell the experience.

Most café content focuses on the finished food and drinks and the problem is people want to see so much more than just the final product 👀

If you want content that stands out, start showing the experience around the food 👇🏻

🥐 Show food being made in the kitchen
🍟 Capture movement with tosses, pours & slow motion
☕️ Show drinks being made, not just served
👋 Include staff and people in the content
🍽️ Film dishes being placed on tables
🥂 Capture interaction, cheers and lifestyle moments
🏡 Showcase different seating areas and spaces

For this shoot at Lula the goal wasn’t just to make the food look good. It was to create content that felt fun, social and immersive while showing everything the café has to offer

Because people don’t just visit for a coffee. They visit for the atmosphere, experience and the people they’re sharing it with 🤍

Photographers, videographers and content creators. Here’s some tips for your next brunch photoshoot:  1️⃣ Don’t just stand in one spot and film everything at eye level. Mix 45° angles, flat lays, close-up detail shots and wider atmosphere clips throughout the shoot.

2️⃣ Use placing shots, pours, pans and interaction to create movement naturally

3️⃣ Where possible, work with natural window light and use additional lighting to add contrast, shape and texture to the food. If it’s a dark location I’ll use a continuous light with a soft box positioned to the side

Restaurants as well, make sure you’re doing this! ⬇️

The main thing that was said on my recent trip to was that the whole team was like a massive family at the hotel. And that really came across in the service and experience of the full trip to Sicily 🇮🇹

People forget that the experience is connected to the people behind it. People book holidays based on the service as well as the location and look of a place 🥂

For this shoot, the focus was on capturing:
✨ staff interaction
🍽️ service moments
🤍 personality
📸 real experiences
🌅 atmosphere

Because that’s what makes hospitality feel memorable

And for photographers/content creators, the same rule applies. If your travel content feels flat or isn’t getting engagement, start showing more people, interaction and emotion instead of just aesthetic locations 👀
