CAMERA SHY? PERFECT.

One of the most common things couples tell me is:

“We’re terrible in front of the camera.”

Perfect.

You don’t need to practise poses or work out what to do with your hands.

I’ll give you a bit of direction when you need it, keep things moving and make sure you never feel like you’re standing through a photoshoot.

Then you can forget about me and enjoy your wedding.

And they’re rarely the ones you planned.

A look across the room. Your mam trying not to cry. Someone squeezing your hand before you walk down the aisle.

Tiny moments that last seconds.

Those are the photographs I’m always looking for.

Your wedding isn’t a photoshoot.

You shouldn’t spend the day wondering where the photographer is, what you’re supposed to be doing or whether you’re standing in the right place.

My job is to document what’s happening, step in when a little direction helps, and then let you get back to actually enjoying it.

Because being present will always make better photographs than performing for the camera.

The quiet bits. The in-between bits. The golden bits. And the loud bits.

Rebeka & Josh's wedding at had a bit of everything.

After their ceremony at St Mary’s Church in Nunthorpe, it was back to Howard Court for an afternoon with their favourite people, a quick wander into the sunflower fields when the light was right, and an evening that definitely wasn't quiet once and got involved.

This is what I want a wedding gallery to feel like.

Not hundreds of photographs of the same thing, but all the different parts that made the day what it was — the calm moments, the bits in between, five minutes of ridiculous golden light and everyone properly letting loose later on.

All of it matters.

Amiee & Dan — what a way to start September! 🤍

Yesterday had everything I love about a wedding: a room full of people who clearly adore them, plenty of laughter, a few proper emotional moments, a brilliant dance floor and golden evening light that couldn’t have arrived at a better time.

Nicola & Josh 🤍

What a day yesterday at Danby Castle.

A brilliant ceremony in the barn, confetti flying outside and then a trip out onto the moors for some portraits surrounded by all that late-summer heather. You really couldn’t ask for a much better backdrop.

Nicola and Josh were an absolute pleasure to photograph — relaxed, full of laughs and just enjoying the day exactly as it happened.

Yesterday was all about Rebekah & Josh 🤍

They tied the knot at St Mary’s Church in Nunthorpe before heading over to Howard Court for the rest of the celebrations.

Such a brilliant day from start to finish — relaxed, full of laughs and plenty of those little in-between moments that make weddings so good to photograph.

Howard Court looked incredible; the sun made an appearance and even put on a show with an eclipse, and the evening properly got going once the music started.

What a day for **Amie & Harry** 🤍

Yesterday they tied the knot at , surrounded by the people they love most — and it was exactly the kind of wedding I love photographing. Relaxed, full of genuine moments, plenty of laughter and absolutely no need for anything to feel forced.
