Sydney Marathon. Completed. 🇦🇺
26.2 miles. 04:52:20. 313m elevation gain. A Sydney Marathon PB on my very first attempt. Lovely stuff.
Not even a Greggs Steak Bake at the finish line. Did I just want the opportunity to come back and set a new Sydney PB? Potentially. 🥐
Was I overtaken by a man in a turtle costume? Yes. People running in flip flops? Also yes. But were they raising money to protect African wildlife and habitats?
Probably not. 🐢
Was the marathon time important? Absolutely not.
Was I having fun? Plenty for the first 20km. Questionable for the latter 22.2km.
The important thing is that I can now add International Athlete to the CV, alongside International Swimwear Model. A seriously impressive portfolio. 🇦🇺
The plan now?
You donate the remaining £95 of my £2,000 Tusk target using the link below, while I rest, recover, and inevitably start debating whether I should run a third marathon.
When?
Well… how long is a piece of string? 🤷♂️
In all seriousness, Tusk is a fantastic charity championing conservation and protecting Africa’s wildlife and habitats. Every donation makes a genuine difference, and after putting this very overweight runner through 42.2km of questionable decision-making, I’m only asking for the final £95 to hit my £2,000 target.
So if you’ve got £5, £10, £20… or you’re feeling particularly generous, please donate using the link below.

It would mean a lot. ❤️
And yes, I promise this is definitely the last marathon.
Probably not.
