She wasn’t sure she’d use the photographs.

In fact, that was how Georgia got herself through the door of her first Visibility Social.

She told herself:

“I never have to use the photos if I don’t like them.”

And I think there are quite a few women who need to hear that.

Because Georgia wasn’t walking into that first session thinking:

“Yessss! Photograph me! I LOVE being in front of a camera!”

Quite the opposite.

But she came.

She used the photographs.

Then she came back for more.

And now she’s booked for her third Visibility Social.

This week Georgia wrote something that stopped me in my tracks:

“I just want other women to get the same benefits I’ve had.”

That’s why I’m sharing this.

Not because everyone suddenly needs to become someone who adores having her photograph taken.

You don’t.

You just need an experience where you feel comfortable enough to let me do my job.

I’ll guide you.

I’ll tell you what to do.

Nobody expects you to know how to pose.

And if you’re standing on the other side of your phone thinking “This all sounds great, Nicola, but I really hate photographs of myself…”

You are very much not the only one. ❤️

You should come to a Visibility Social if you know you need to be visible in your business…but the thought of getting in front of a camera fills you with fear.

Seriously.

You do NOT need to arrive knowing how to pose.

You don’t need to know what to do with your hands.

You don’t need to be naturally confident.

And you definitely don’t need to spend the week beforehand worrying whether you’re “photogenic enough”.

One woman who came to my June Social told me she arrived “butterfly nervous”.

She wasn’t sure she’d brought the right clothes.

She’d never done anything like it before.

And when I asked how she felt when she left?

“Like a mini celeb.” 🤣

That’s Visibility Social in a nutshell.

It’s deliberately small.

It’s supportive.

There’s time to settle in.

And you’re surrounded by other women who are doing exactly the same thing.

You don’t need confidence before you come.

Sometimes the confidence is what you leave with. ❤️

September is the new January.

There. I said it. 😏

There's something about September that makes us look at our businesses differently.

The summer slows down. The diary starts filling again. Networking kicks back in. Q4 plans suddenly become very real.

New offers are coming.

Events are being booked.

Websites are being tweaked.

Christmas campaigns are appearing on the horizon.

And we start showing up properly again.

But here's my question...

Are you about to take your business into autumn using the same handful of photographs you've been posting all year?

Because your business might be ready for its September glow-up and so might your photo library.

My September Visibility Socials are designed to give women in business a fresh collection of professional images without needing a full brand photoshoot.

2.5 hours. A small group of women. Plenty of support. Five professionally edited images with commercial usage. And absolutely no requirement to know what to do in front of a camera.

In fact, if the thought of being photographed fills you with fear, you are exactly the woman I created these for.

📍 17 September — Kelham House, Newark
📍 29 September — Allington Manor, Grantham

£95.

September glow-up, anyone? ❤️

One thing I've realised this week...

Booking a Discovery Call can feel like a bigger commitment than it actually is.

So I thought I'd tell you exactly what happens.

For 20 minutes, we'll talk about your business.

Not my camera.
Not packages.
Not whether you should book.

We'll chat about:
✨ Where your business is now.
✨ What's coming up over the next 12 months.
✨ Whether your current branding is helping or holding you back.
✨ If new photography would genuinely make a difference.

Sometimes the outcome is, "Yes, let's plan your shoot."
Sometimes it's, "Actually, you're not there yet."
And that's absolutely fine.

I'd much rather you leave with clarity than feel pressured into making a decision.

If you've been wondering whether your branding has caught up with your business, I'd love to have that conversation.

Yesterday reminded me why I love what I do❤️

I spent the day photographing 65 incredible women in business at Claire Lockey’s event.

And do you know what I heard most?

“You made that so easy.”

“That was actually enjoyable!”

“I normally hate having my photo taken…”

Those comments never get old.

Because almost every woman arrives feeling a little unsure.

Will I look awkward?

Will I know what to do?

Will I look like me?

Then a few minutes later they’re looking at themselves on screen with the biggest smile.

That’s because a branding session isn’t about being naturally photogenic.

It’s about feeling comfortable enough to be yourself.

It’s exactly why I created my Brand Catch-Up Event.

Because when your business has grown, your branding deserves to feel like you too.

If you’ve been thinking your branding needs to catch up with your business, I’d love to chat.

One of the questions I get asked most is:

“How do I know when it’s time for new brand photos?”

My answer is usually…

When your business no longer feels like the woman your website is introducing.

Maybe you’ve…

✨ changed your services

✨ raised your prices

✨ become more visible

✨ hired support

✨ planned a new website

✨ grown in confidence

Your old photos aren’t wrong.

They just belong to an earlier chapter.

That’s exactly why I created my Brand Catch-Up Experience.

Not to replace perfectly good photographs.

But to help women in business create imagery that reflects who they are today.

If you’ve found yourself looking at your website or LinkedIn profile and thinking,

“That doesn’t quite feel like me anymore…”

I’d love to help.

📅 Rather than trying to decide on your own, I’ve opened up a handful of complimentary Brand Discovery Calls this month.

We’ll spend 20 minutes talking about your business, where it’s heading and whether your branding is supporting it.

No pressure.

No obligation.

Just a conversation.

She almost didn’t book.

Not because she didn’t need new branding photos.

Because she was worried she’d brought the wrong clothes.

She wasn’t sure what to expect.

She wondered if she’d fit in.

Afterwards I asked everyone who came one question.

“How did you feel before you arrived… and how did you feel when you left?”

Part of Becca’s reply said:

“When I left, I felt like a mini celeb.”

Then she wrote something else that really stayed with me…

“I wished every woman could experience this.”

That sentence honestly stopped me in my tracks.

Because that’s exactly what I hope every woman leaves with.

Not just photographs.

A little more confidence.

A little more pride.

A reminder that she deserves to be seen.

❤️ If you’ve been thinking about updating your branding but keep talking yourself out of it…

Please know that almost every woman I photograph arrives with nerves.

Very few leave with them.

If you’d like to know more about my annual Double Up event, just send me a message. I’d love to tell you about it.

The biggest transformation from a branding shoot isn’t visible in the photographs.

It’s this:

“I actually enjoyed it.”

Because if I’m honest, very few women arrive at a branding shoot saying,

“I can’t wait to be in front of the camera!”

Most arrive with a little voice in their head saying…

I hope I don’t look awkward.

I don’t know what to do with my hands.

I hate having my photo taken.

Then something shifts.

The conversation starts.

The pressure disappears.

And somewhere along the way, they stop thinking about the camera altogether.

The photographs matter.

Of course they do.

But if you leave feeling more confident than when you arrived…

That’s the bit I’ll always be proudest of. ❤️

✨ What’s one experience you’ve put off because you thought you’d hate it… only to end up really enjoying it?

Can I tell you about one of the most expensive decisions women in business make?

Waiting.

Not because waiting is wrong.

Life happens.

Budgets matter.

Timing matters.

But because while we’re waiting we’re..,

- Still sending people to the old website.

- Still using the same handful of photos.

- Still avoiding showing up.

- Still launching brilliant offers with imagery that no longer reflects who we’ve become.

And here’s the thing…

I’ve never had a client leave a branding shoot and say,

“I wish I’d waited another year.”

Never.

Much more often they say,

“I should have done this ages ago.”

Not because the photos changed their business overnight.

But because they finally felt proud to show people what they’d already built.

Sometimes the biggest cost isn’t investing.

It’s waiting until you’re “ready.”

❤️
