Back to reality today, and back to a drizzly grey UK, so itā€™s only right I post something cosy on the grid to match the vibe.

And itā€™s a reminder that motherhood isnā€™t always the big milestones. Sometimes itā€™s a warm bath, tiny hands wrapped around your finger, chubby cheeks, and a baby who only wants you.

The ordinary moments have a funny way of becoming the ones we miss the most. And thatā€™s speaking as someone whose babies are now 4 and 7, where bath time these days involves far more chaos, splashing, and pouring water over each otherā€™s heads than snuggling up with me. Somehow, that change happened much faster than I expected šŸ˜­

Been craving deeper conversations than just ā€˜What lens do you use?ā€™

As photographers, it can feel hard to carve a place for ourselves in the community that doesnā€™t feel competitive, or like youā€™re constantly comparing your work to othersā€™ - and itā€™s hard!

But amazing things can happen when we come together. The Wild Soul Photograph Retreat is more than just a workshop - yes, youā€™ll take away some great skills and images, but itā€™s also about connecting with a small group of likeminded photographers, learning from each other and developing relationships that last.

When? September 11th - September 14th 2026
Where? Cornwall

Whatā€™s included? A three day workshop including three styled sessions all focussed on family, motherhood and maternity, with all accommodation and food included, plus plenty of opportunities for guided discussion, journalling and some downtime to relax, too!

The Wild Soul Workshop 003 is more than just a content weekend - yes, youā€™ll leave with some beautiful images for your portfolio but itā€™s also a space to connect with likeminded photographers, create without pressure and leave feeling rested and restored!

- 3 nights in Cornwall with a super intimate group of just 6 photographers.

And Iā€™m currently editing their newborn gallery now little one is here, and itā€™s always so special seeing the same setting go from all the waiting and anticipation to finally having their baby there in their arms šŸ„¹

The never ending cycle of a photographers life - feeling like an absolute boss, posting regularly, being active on socials, smashing through ideas for reels and posts - to feeling overwhelmed and like you can never post anything ever again šŸ¤£ (guess which phase Iā€™m in)

Plus is doesnā€™t help when thereā€™s so many gorgeous sessions I still havenā€™t posted! I never know where to start. So throwing it back to the stunning Mothers Day Minis that still havenā€™t made the grid. Some of my fave so far.
With .by.design.floral nailing the flowers as per šŸ™ŒšŸ¼šŸ˜
