The Hawks IHC are delighted to announce the signing of defenceman Scott Geddes. Most recently found plying his trade with the Edinburgh Capitals, Scott brings a wealth of SNL experience, a calm presence on the blueline and a winning pedigree, having secured numerous championships throughout his career. A fan favourite during his time in Edinburgh, we are certain he will quickly become a fan favourite with us too. His experience and leadership will be valuable additions to the Hawks, and we’re excited to welcome him to the team.

The King Reigns!

We are delighted to welcome back The King, Dean Cochrane, to the Hawks.

Dean is a quiet guy, doesn't really say much and keeps himself to himself. That's the introduction we were given before he joined. Absolute fu**in nonsense by the way. If shenanigans are afoot, Dean is there front and centre. An integral part of the team, The King represents the boys on the committee as their voice which is an example of the respect he holds in the room.

On the ice, he is on a Kings Crusade and the puck is his goal. He carries it with confidence, has run over a player or two in his enthusiasm to keep the puck, has an incredible shot (when he remembers where he left it) and will never know as much about hockey as someone forgot in their little finger... allegedly.

Flyers may have the Kingdom but here at the Hawks, we have the King!

1️⃣0️⃣SEAN COCHRANE

Finally, we did it. After years of wondering "is this the year?" we can finally say YES IT IS! (Sorry Michelle)

THE PRINCE IS A HAWK! The Prince Sean Cochrane joins us after a very successful stint with the Edinburgh Capitals in the SNL. You don't need us to tell you how good he is but we are going to anyway so buckle up.

Speed, scoring, defense, passing, skating... he's top of the charts. It's crazy that despite all this talent he is still likely to be the 2nd best Cochrane on the team (We love you Kingy, please come back). We are sure Sean will have something to say about that by the end of the season and we can't wait to see how the season unfolds.

Welcome back Cammy, who brings hard work, big energy, and—thanks to one spectacularly unlucky tumble—a fully healed wrist and a great story for the boys. After missing the Plate last year because he managed to injure himself in the least dramatic way possible, he’s now back, laughing about it, and ready to throw himself into every battle that doesn’t involve falling over his own feet. We’re thrilled to have Cammy on board.

He may not be the quickest player on the ice—in fact, glaciers have been known to move faster—but give him time and space near the net and he’ll unleash a shot that goaltenders won’t know what to do with. If you speak to Craig he will tell you his real strength is his hockey IQ. We can confirm that it might be the only IQ he has. All of this and he still puts up more goals every season than his ex Caps brother.

Welcome back the most annoying person to play against.

Never shuts up, takes stupid penalties, gets more bites than an American tourist during midgey season and occasionally will score a goal or two. He played for the Edinburgh Capitals and if you didn't know that, you will within 3.2 seconds of speaking to him.

We welcome back Robbie "Bob" Balfour for another season of his neverending antics. Maybe this is the year we mic him up for a game? Yeah.... maybe not.

Magic tricks on and off the ice, we're convinced he is a future Guinness World Record holder.

Oor ex EIHL starlet (insert clip of Daryl Lloyd introducing him to the plexi in Belfast) has been with us for over a year now and within minutes you knew he would be a leader in the room and on the ice. First D man in the teams history to score more than 20 goals in a season and the first D man in the teams history to be over 1.5 PPG AND Penalty Mins per game. He leads from the back with great composure (unless we play in Coatbridge) and is the heartbeat of the team.
