Fiona & Ian Ā· Balbirnie House, Markinch

Some love stories take the scenic route. This one started at Marconi's in the 1980s.

It took Ian a while to get here the whole room's favourite running joke, and nobody enjoyed it more than Ian.

Along the way: a plate licked clean in a Rome restaurant (Fiona's doing never one to turn down a challenge), a proposal finally announced this Easter, and five beautiful grandchildren (and counting).

Then, at last, the day itself: Ian in his kilt, and Fiona walking down the aisle on her brother's arm. Jim flew all the way from Newfoundland to do it, and they carried their mum and dad with them every step.

The best men, Jimmy and George, gave us "that's marriage material" (they weren't wrong).

Here's a wee taste of their day. The full film's coming, and it's a belter.

Congratulations, Fiona & Ian ā¤ļø

PS — we can confirm no polytunnels were watered in the making of this film. 24 hours of grace, as promised.

Hayley & James at the Laurel Bank Hotel ā¤ļø

A spring wedding in Markinch with the daffodils out, the sun on the beer garden, and one of the happiest rooms I've filmed in a long time.

But as always, it was the people and the words that really made it.

Hayley and James met online — or as their celebrant Aileen put it, "a very modern meeting". By the end of the day nobody could argue with her verdict: sometimes the modern way works absolutely perfectly.

There were plenty of laughs. Best man Dave opened his speech by thanking everyone for coming to his birthday party šŸ‘€ — and James got his revenge later by having the whole room sing him Happy Birthday mid-speech. Throw in a few one-liners about punching above your weight, and the room barely got a breather.

But underneath all of that was something really special.

Two people who knew very early on they'd found something worth keeping — through Covid plans that fell apart and only made them stronger, to their gorgeous wee boy Mason arriving and stealing every scene he's in.

One of the moments that stood out most was Aileen reading Hayley and James's own words about what marriage means to them — sharing the small things, compromise, and never losing sight of who you are.

A massive congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Brown — or as the cake so perfectly put it, The Broons ā¤ļø

May your life together be full of love, laughter, and at least one birthday a year that's actually yours.

Hope you enjoy this little glimpse of their day.

If you're looking to get on a bike the active travel hub in Kirkcaldy has a lot of options, even the ability to hire bikes too if you're looking for one with the the sunnier days fast approaching!

This is more of a preview than a finished product but another example of some of our recent client work.

I was asked to help with the launch of the new ā€œKirkcaldy isā€¦ā€ campaign.

I love my hometown and seeing the ambition and passion associated with this project it’s inspiring.

I’m excited to see how it grows and what small part I can play in putting a positive spotlight on a town that has so much potential.

NEWS: ā€œKirkcaldy isā€¦ā€ campaign launches, and the Lang Toun officially begins its bid to be UK Town of Culture 2028

The Lang Toun Partners have launched ā€œKirkcaldy isā€¦ā€ a campaign inviting everyone in the Lang Toun to help shape Kirkcaldy’s bid to become UK Town of Culture 2028.

The campaign asks a simple question: What is Kirkcaldy to you?

Residents, schools, community groups, sports clubs, businesses and creatives are all encouraged to complete the phrase ā€œKirkcaldy isā€¦ā€ in their own words; celebrating the people, places and stories that make the town special.

This marks the public launch of Kirkcaldy’s bid, which is proudly community‑led and rooted in the belief that culture here is something people make together. Their bid states, ā€œPeople care for the town and each other. Culture here is made with communities, not delivered to them.ā€

Kirkcaldy has faced the same challenges as many post‑industrial towns, from the decline of heavy industry to pressures on the high street. But the town is also full of resilience, creativity and community leadership. The recent Ā£20 million Growth Mission Fund investment has sparked new optimism and a shared belief that this is the right moment to act boldly and confidently.

Winning UK Town of Culture 2028 would bring national recognition, new investment and long‑term opportunities for residents, young people and local creatives.

The ā€œKirkcaldy isā€¦ā€ campaign will feed directly into the cultural programme being developed for 2028, which coincides with the town’s 900th anniversary.

Themes include:
celebrating Kirkcaldy’s history and heritage
supporting young people as creators and leaders
taking culture into neighbourhoods
showcasing local talent
strengthening pride in place
promoting sustainability, climate action and social justice

Community groups will also feature in a series of short films and imagery, for example, Stellar Quines completing ā€œKirkcaldy is… dramaticā€, local choirs completing ā€œKirkcaldy is… musicā€, and makers completing ā€œKirkcaldy is… handmadeā€.

The bid is being led by Lang Toun Partners, a collective of local organisations including Greener Kirkcaldy, Adam Smith Global Foundation, Stellar Quines, Every One Every Day, OnFife, Fife College, K107FM, Linton Lane Centre, Kings Theatre, Growing Kirkcaldy, Love Oor Lang Toun, Fife Council and many more. These groups already work closely with residents, volunteers, young people and underrepresented communities.

Lauren Brook, Greener Kirkcaldy said:

ā€œKirkcaldy is full of talent, creativity and community spirit. This campaign is about celebrating who we and inviting everyone to help shape our future. If we win UK Town of Culture, it will be because the people of Kirkcaldy made it happen.ā€

And here is how YOU can get involved:

Share your own ā€œKirkcaldy isā€¦ā€ on social media using
Join upcoming workshops and events
Submit ideas through local partners
Volunteer or take part in cultural activities across the town

ADHD Media UK (v1) > ADHD Media Weddings
A bit of a shift… but a good one.

ADHD Media has been growing quickly, especially on the business side, and it’s got to the point where it really feels like two different things under one roof.

Most people follow this page for the weddings, and that’s not changing. If anything, I’m doubling down on it.

So from here, this page will be focused purely on wedding work.

Behind the scenes though, the business side has grown massively. Instead of trying to squeeze everything into one place, I’ve made the call to build that out properly from scratch with its own space.

ADHD Media(v2)
More to come very soon, but everything is moving in a really positive direction.

As always, I appreciate the support ā¤ļø
Much love
