A little while ago, this lovely family won one of my photography vouchers.

And this is what came from it. An evening wandering through the woods, little hands to hold, lots of playing, and those in-between moments that end up meaning the most.

No pressure to stand still and smile at the camera. Just them, exactly as they are right now.

I love that a voucher turned into memories they’ll get to keep long after these little legs aren’t quite so little anymore.

There's nothing quite like photographing the little in-between moments. The ones families don't even realise are happening until they see them frozen in time.

This is what documentary-style family photography is all about to me: real connection, not posed perfection.
