I've been very quiet on for the past six months as my time has been taken up with my three small people and, other than capturing their journey through lock down, I've not had a lot of time to get my camera out and play. Now things are starting to calm down a bit and in a couple of weeks the munchkins will be back to school I decided it was time to set myself another challenge.

A while ago I got a splash with the intention of playing with water drop photography. Well this week I've got it out of its box (having only used it once 🙈) and have learned all over again how to set it up. It is definitely not a plug in and play toy, it has taken several hours to get anywhere near what I'm wanting to achieve and I've still got a long way to go but I thought I'd document my journey with it.

This image had water in the splash unit and milk with blue food colouring in the glass below. I managed to capture a little splash (among the hundreds of misfires shots!) well, it's a start!

Great to see one of my photos featuring in this weeks Exmouth Journal. This was from a production of Annie Last year performed by the amazing Blackmore Youth Theatre Group (BYT). This group has kept going throughout lockdown via zoom sessions run by Tracey Hamilton and Mike. I’m looking forward to seeing them performing We Will Rock You in November.

Blackmore Youth Theatre has been pressing ahead with rehearsals for its next production and acting as an emotional lifeline for its members during lockdown
