Wet trails, muddy paths and a bit of unpredictable weather 🌧️🥾

I've been putting the Twiston boots from their 365 collection to the test out on the trail. With waterproof construction, a breathable membrane and a Vibram Ghiaccio outsole, they're built for getting outdoors whatever the conditions.

The 365 range has also been independently tested in partnership with SATRA to help enhance its waterproof performance.

Because a bit of bad weather shouldn't stop you getting out there.

| How much can a hiking backpack really handle?

I took the Thrudark Orbital backpack onto Dartmoor to put its durability to the test - loading it with rocks, dragging it over granite and testing its water resistance.

But this isn't the toughest challenge this backpack has faced. Thrudark cofounder Staz took the Orbital to Mount Everest, where it survived an avalanche in the Khumbu Icefall.

Would you trust it on your next adventure?

One more camp before the evenings get shorter, the weather gets colder and the kit starts getting a little heavier ⋆.˚ ☾⭒.˚

Who's looking forward to the winter camps?

If you're looking to get into camping and wondering what tent to buy first, the Star River 2 is one I'd definitely recommend taking a look at.

One of the biggest things I look for in a beginner friendly tent is simplicity, and that's exactly what this offers. Being freestanding means pitching is quick and straightforward, while the two doors and separate vestibules make life around camp that little bit easier. There's also loads of space inside, whether you're heading out solo with plenty of gear or sharing it with someone else.

Getting into camping shouldn't feel complicated. Having gear that's easy to use lets you spend less time figuring things out and more time enjoying being outdoors.

Finding a tent that balances weight, comfort and protection isn't always easy.

After putting the Blizzard Elite 2 through its paces over the last few trips, the things that have stood out most are the amount of usable space inside, the generous vestibule and how confidence-inspiring it feels when the weather starts to turn.

If you're wondering what Elite actually means, it's the updated version of the Blizzard 2, featuring recycled, PFC-free fabrics while keeping the same dependable 3-pole tunnel design that the Blizzard range is known for.

If you're looking for a tent that balances comfort, stability and packability, this one's well worth considering.

Would you choose a tunnel tent for your next trip?

Over 25 years old and still going.

This is the tent I grew up using and probably what sparked my love for wild camping and the outdoors, lots of fond memories in this beast of a tent!
