We were recently commissioned to run another fantastic SHARE Video Content Framework session with the DiAS team at Devon County Council.

During the multi-day training programme, we identified multiple, repeatable video content formats to make video content creation easier, the technical skills including framing, sound, and lighting to make it look amazing, and how to edit it professionally with Adobe Premiere Pro for iPhone.

Sarah Smith, Information and Training Officer at DiAS, said: “Thank you for the two days of training. I really enjoyed it, and it was great to come out of it with the main skills we need to get on and make things!”

Last week, I had a brilliant time training a team at HomeServe UK using the SHARE Video Content Framework! 🎥 📱

The framework is designed to empower a team to produce consistent, high-quality, social media or internal comms videos in-house.

I provide a simple, repeatable workflow to identify stories, produce the content using best practices, and how to target it; all while getting hands-on experience with the user-friendly (and budget friendly) video accessories to produce it.

In just one day, we covered:

- Identifying stories and developing repeatable video content formats 
- Essential iPhone video accessories (microphones, lights, etc.) 
- The best video settings, modes, and tools to get the highest quality video possible from an iPhone
- How to film interviews and b-roll (framing, lighting, camera movements, etc.) 
- How to capture great audio
- Directing/interview techniques and on-camera confidence tips
- Developing a workflow for archiving and repurposing footage for future use, maximising its value
- Introduction to video editing basics in Adobe Premiere Pro iPhone/iPad 
- Adding animated captions 
- Branding your video content
- Exporting and repurposing video content

They were also kind enough to record this testimonial video at the end of the session! 😄 This video was shot and edited on iPhone.

It was an absolute honour to be invited to this year’s Into Film Awards at Odeon Leicester Square, 15 years after I won my own Into Film award in the same venue!

It was so inspiring to see young filmmakers and animators being celebrated and encouraged by key industry figures, and I know from my own personal experience, it gives you such a massive confidence boost to be nominated for, and win one of these awards.

There was so much talent on display, and I have to admit, it made me slightly jealous that they have the whole excitement of building a creative career ahead of them.

As well as cheering on the young filmmakers, it was surreal for us to be sipping ch*****ne in the same room as screen industry legends like Peter Capaldi, Nick Frost, Jodie Whittaker, Jason Isaacs, Haley Atwell, and others!

Into Film does vital work to inspire young people into the screen industries across the UK.
