CANADA 🇨🇦 came to Scotland

What a day! What a couple! What an MC! 😂

The best fun was had last Saturday when Lauren married Curtis at Eilean Donan Castle. The weather was perfect, Curtis looked fabulous in his family tartan (ancient Fraser) and their loved ones from a Vancouver snd beyond all dressed for the occasion.

As for Lauren…..that dress ♥️ she was the epitome of bridal calm, elegance and grace. What a woman! The whole day was just beautiful from start to finish. Gorgeous lovely people - gorgeous lovely wedding...

A whole host of local suppliers, helped put this day together but Lauren organised it all perfectly from Vancouver.

DREAMS CAME TRUE

Not just for this gorgeous couple - who married each other in total seclusion and completely THEIR way - but for me too.

For years I have dreamed of having couples be able to stay on my croft* in a little hut, looking out onto the Isle of Skye and to get married there. To have a day where they didn’t have to share it with anyone except me and their celebrant. To be able to wake up to a breakfast hamper in bed, have their ceremony in private, and then enjoy a tasty, romantic dinner. And this week it finally happened!!!!(So who cares we didn’t see the eclipse!😂)

I & S - beautiful, strong, wonderful women - whose love for each other was gorgeous to witness - were joined together legally by another incredible woman Davina McCluskie in a ceremony beside the sea. Afterwards there was champagne and I made them vegan cake to seal the deal. Then photos and a dinner on the deck before we grabbed the last of the light.

We didn’t see the eclipse but it didn’t really matter because we all had our own amazing moments that day.

Thank you I & S for trusting me, in every way. It was my honour. ♥️

I love to host and cook as well as photograph and this is my new package. Wake up with my sheep and go to bed under the stars and in between get wed and get fed. All without walking more than a few steps. Elopements for couples who love nature, tranquility and a bit of good food.

P&P

They love Scotland and have come here from their home in Europe several times. This time they were celebrating 10 years of marriage in the Scottish Highlands, as part of a six week holiday in their van.

I loved photographing them so much - their love and respect for each other was so palpable - I actually cried during our shoot. It’s amazing the emotions that can surface sometimes.

LOVED this beautiful, intimate wedding at at the end of last month. Paul and Kristina and their immediate family travelled up from England to marry at our beautiful local castle.

Their wedding merged Nepali, Danish and English cultures and it was just so perfect.

The most gorgeous couple - a stunning bridal gown - beautiful flowers grown by Kristina’s mum and dad - an emotional ceremony by and the lifting of the fog after the ceremony so we could get some photos at a local viewpoint, which gave us some atmospheric cloud inversions.

So simple. So sweet. So filled with love.

Paul and Kristina - thank you so much for asking me to be part of your perfect day. I honestly loved every moment.

Two weeks married!!

The spring weather arrived in time for this lovely Mexican couple - Silvia & Luis - who travelled all the way to to be married, along with their nearest and dearest.

Before the ceremony, we went to a few nearby spots for some photographs and Silvia and Luis were blown away by how beautiful it is here.

I loved spending a few hours with them. They were so grateful to be here I Scotland and so in awe of it all. A super happy couple ♥️

What a beautiful day for a wedding yesterday! The spring weather arrived in time for this lovely Mexican couple - Silvia & Luis - who travelled all the way to Eilean Donan Castle to be married, along with their nearest and dearest.

Before the ceremony, we went to a few nearby spots for some photographs and Silvia and Luis were blown away by how beautiful it is here. A passing cyclist on the Mam said he thought he was halloucinating after the uphill cycle, when he saw them standing at the side of the road 😂

SOPHIE & ALAN

A couple of weeks ago, local couple Sophie and Alan were married at Moll, in front of their family and the lovely Skye hills and travelled in style on this gorgeous vintage MacBraynes bus.

They were so keen to be able to do the ceremony outdoors and luckily they had just enough luck for that to happen on a day which became very wet and then snowy later on in the day. But, for just enough time in the morning they lucked out! They were married by .francesca in front of a stunning floral arch created by local florist with their gorgeous children Imogen and Ruiri by their sides.

After they were pronounced husband and wife it was down to .scot in Broadford for a delicious wedding lunch and then back to Moll for the party!

There were lots of people who made this day wonderful not least their friends who helped with all the setting up of the sheep shed into a fabulous reception venue complete with a trailer for the band to play on. Very cool!
