I recently got the opportunity to review a photobook from Saal Digital UK
I wanted to find a way to show my images in a physical form without compromising the quality and without breaking the bank! Saal’s photobooks were the perfect choice.
The process of making book is not only easy with their design software - it is incredibly user friendly. They have a wide range of sizes to suit what you are looking for as well as a variety of customisation options for the cover from standard glossy to leather as well as padding. They also give you the option to remove the barcode on the book giving the book a unbranded look, (something I really like when getting my work printed!) I selected the 19 x 19” photo-book starting at £24.95 with the gloss cover and premium matte paper. The process of making the photo-book to me no longer than 30 mins and it was super easy to make!
The book took a week to arrive and was well packaged. The quality of the book was better than expected especially for the price of the book! I was really pleased with the outcome of my images - although they seem a little dark/high contrast due to my own editing error in post production - and selecting the matte paper which grabs more dark tones than glossy paper would. A feature that really impressed me was how flat the book was between the pages, the fold does not affect the images in anyway and almost seems hidden - I am thoroughly pleased with the way the book has turned out!
I will definitely be using saal again, The quality of their products are in match with other professional printing services at a affordable price and would recommend them to anyone!
