We planned to visit again, as our last trip was the weekend after . The bonus this time was that, despite the warmth (32°C), the sea breeze on the cliffs was an absolute godsend. It’s the last week or so before the puffins migrate, and we hoped to spot a couple—mission accomplished! We saw the gannets with their chicks; such stunning birds, though the chicks have this almost jurassic look. Bonus: they sleep with their necks stretched out, making them look like they’re “not here anymore.” I spotted a couple of fulmars in the distance, though no chance for photos. The kittiwakes had adorable chicks, and there were plenty of Guillemots, razorbills, gulls, and more too.
