I’m so glad we managed to fit Lizzie’s maternity session into the diary, because just two days later, she welcomed her son earthside.

✨The Art of Noticing

One of my favourite parts of these newborn sessions is slowing down enough to notice all the little things. The way tiny fingers wrap around yours, a sleepy stretch, a knowing glance between parents, the moments of connection that happen without anyone even realising.

Baby Edie was 7 weeks old when I visited, and it was such a lovely morning spent documenting this season for her family. The cuddles, the quiet moments, the way they naturally gravitate towards her.

I always feel so grateful to be welcomed into these early weeks at home and trusted to capture the details that might feel ordinary now, but will mean so much in years to come 🤍

✨A moment for our boy, our wonderful, sweet, complicated, beautiful boy.

The boy who made me a mother. The boy who tests me daily, but also reminds me what love really is.

The way he’s adapted to so much change this past year, the way he’s become the most amazing big brother, and the way he lets me be completely myself while loving me unconditional, he truly is something special.

We love you so much Rupert, our darling boy. Thank you 🤍

One of my favourite things about family photography is getting to document the natural connection between people, the little interactions, quiet moments, and soft smiles that make every family unique.

It’s always such a privilege to capture memories like these that families can look back on for years to come.

✨ Feeling so grateful to have spent the day amongst the bluebells, with 6 families in total. Can’t wait to start edits on these!

✨May we celebrate the mothers.
May we celebrate the cuddles, the laughter, the noisy kitchens and the love that fills a home.

May we celebrate the mums with babies in their arms,
the ones chasing little feet through the house,
and the ones proudly watching their children grow and find their own way.

May we hold gentle hope for the women who long to be mothers.
May we send love to those whose path looks different.
May we hold close the ones who are missing their own mum today.

May we remind every mother, in whatever season she is in,
that the love she gives each day matters more than she knows.

And may I always be grateful
for the privilege of capturing these moments for you.
