Thereโ€™s something I gently say to almost every mum-to-be who steps into my studioโ€ฆ

You might not feel your most glamorous right now.
You might feel tired. Swollen. Emotional. Unsure.

But one day, your baby will look at these photographs.

And they wonโ€™t see the things youโ€™re worrying about.
They will see where their story began ๐Ÿค

Theyโ€™ll see the woman who carried them. Protected them. Grew them.
Theyโ€™ll see love before they even took their first breath.

Maternity photographs arenโ€™t really for you (although I promise youโ€™ll treasure them).

Theyโ€™re for the little person who will one day sit on your lap and sayโ€ฆ

โ€œThat was me in your tummy?โ€

Itโ€™s proof of the very first home they ever had.

I have never, in all my years of photographing mums had a single mum say she regrets capturing her pregnancy.

But I have spoken to many who wish they had.

Your body is doing something extraordinary right now.
This chapter is fleeting.
And once itโ€™s gone, itโ€™s gone.

One day your baby will hold these images in their hands and see just how loved they were โ€” from the very beginning.

And that is something you will never regret ๐Ÿค

As you've probably noticed, I like to keep everything quite neutral as I believe itโ€™s all about your baby rather than lots of props.

This means you will have classic, timeless memories that won't date and you'll treasure forever.

I do have various wraps, hats and headbands for you to choose from if you would like or we can keep it totally simple, itโ€™s completely up to you.

Iโ€™m often asked what to wear for a photo session, and the beautiful families in these images absolutely nailed it! ๐Ÿ‘โœจ

I do send out a little guide before your shoot with tips and outfit inspiration, but the key thing is always that everyone feels happy and comfortable.

Muted, solid colours without busy prints, patterns or big logos usually work best. I tend to use a cream backdrop as itโ€™s flattering for all skin tones and gives your photos that timeless feel that wonโ€™t date โค๏ธ

Bonus points if your outfits compliment each other โ€“ it really brings everything together beautifully!

And remember, if youโ€™re ever unsure, just send me a quick message or some photos of your options. Iโ€™m always happy to help you choose so we can create images youโ€™ll treasure forever ๐Ÿฅฐ

There is nothing more meaningful than hearing about a family's experience in their own words ๐Ÿค

The lovely Machin family kindly sent me this beautiful video after their outdoor family session, and I can't thank them enough for taking the time to share it.

Family photography is about so much more than smiling at the camera. It's about capturing the way your children look at you, the cuddles they still give without being asked, the laughter, the little moments you never want to forget.

My job is simply to create a relaxed, fun experience where you can be yourselves while I preserve those memories for you.
