The last couple of weeks I’ve been collecting small joys deliberately - it’s been a bit of a heavy time round here and in those moments I find it’s more important than ever to notice the beautiful tiny moments. And also to take photos for me as well as serving my clients.
So these are some images I’ve taken just for me in the last couple of weeks to notice tiny moments of joy, calm and fun - free wheeling down a huge hill through the new forest with my kids, whooping and laughing hysterically at the adrenaline rush, the awe of canoeing down the river and feeling my body work hard, the light through the trees, my morning cuppa which is a small happy ritual of my day, beautiful fresh flowers while having my car washed, turning the corner onto the beach on my walk and gasping at the sun breaking through the clouds - and Gus, who never lets anything get in the way of a good kip.
If you’re in a hard stretch right now, I’m not going to tell you it gets easier because that doesn’t always feel useful, I’m just going to say, find your joys and collect them deliberately. They matter and when you look back you’ll see how far you have come.
It’s been an absolute tonic being back in the studio this week too and looking ahead to September which is an incredibly exciting and varied month for Anysomething.
Thank you for being here and believing in what I do.
