Two years ago I launched . Something I’d wanted to do for a long time. Running my own business was always the goal.

December 2023, I absolutely hated my job and remember making a throw away comment in a meeting of “If they offered me the redundancy back, I’d take it.”

That very afternoon, I accepted redundancy. All I had to do was stay until the end of January so they could replace the role I’d been redeployed into.

The only problem?
I hadn’t told Kate yet 😂

But I knew whatever happened, I’d make it work.
And what a two years it’s been.

Running a business is relentless, but I’ve genuinely loved every second of it.

With it has come some really cool opportunities:
• In May, I was invited to speak at North Kent College to business students (and I’m heading back again in a couple of weeks).
• In December, I went back to my secondary school to support their careers fair, speaking to students about my career and what it’s like running your own business.

To be honest it's not all me, I couldn't have done any of it without the support of Kate. When I told Kate I had accepted redundancy her first response was how do we make it work and been my biggest supporter through the rollercoaster.

Big plans in 2026 and I can't wait for the challenge.
