Off-season… and I’m already missing this. 📸🏊‍♂️

The noise, the racing, the emotion, the split-second moments and, of course, the water flying everywhere.

There’s something about photographing swimming that I absolutely love. You never quite know what you’re going to capture until you look through the camera — expressions, reflections, symmetry and those tiny moments that disappear in a fraction of a second.

A little quieter poolside at the moment… but I’m definitely ready for the racing to start again. 💦📸

Some events are about more than just crossing the finish line.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the Hercules Toga Run for RunThrough, in partnership with the Make-A-Wish UK and Disney’s Hercules in Theatre Royal Drury Lane London’s West End.

It was one of those events where every element came together perfectly – incredible costumes, an iconic London setting, brilliant entertainment, and most importantly, people coming together to support an amazing cause.

As a photographer, these are the events I love documenting. It’s not just about capturing runners; it’s about finding the moments that tell the story – the excitement before the start, the energy on the course, the emotion at the finish, and the interactions that make an event memorable.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the day happen. It’s always a privilege to work alongside the fantastic team at RunThrough, while supporting organisations like Make-A-Wish and seeing productions like Disney’s Hercules help create such a unique experience.
