A sunset featuring three of the Forth Bridges. And I don’t think I’ll forget, it was one of the first times after Covid where we were kind of allowed to go out again. There were so many people enjoying the sunset too, and it was almost like an impromptu sunset freedom party in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It’s lovely to see the poppies popping up across Scotland just now. Even though it’s summer, we still get the odd wet and wild day, but despite their delicate wee petals, they seem to take the Scottish weather in their stride. Rain, wind, sunshine, then more rain, they just keep on going.

I loved trying to capture a bit of that resilience in this photo. Maybe it’s just me 😂 but sometimes I think the smallest things in the landscape can tell the biggest stories?

I think this is one of my favourite wave shots that I’ve taken, but it nearly never happened. It was quite a nice April day in Scotland, wee bit windy, but the tide was so high and I think it was the right wind direction that made the waves jump so high. I ran down to take photos, but my battery was dead. I then ran home and charged it for his little as possible but enough to give me enough for a couple of shots. Ideally I would’ve loved to slow the shot or speed down a little bit but hey ho. I’ll just wait till the next time 😆 🌊
