Photography is something that is not only very personal to people but something that we all have an interest in. Images that are there to sell you, products, ideas and values. Being a photography then puts you in a very interesting position. You have the pleasu

re of witnessing and trying to represent a moment being shared by an individual/group through the eye of a glass lens. This honour leaves with a couple of conclusions;

1. I am not the best photographer in the world. Photography is so subjective that I concede that I may be someones favourite photographer, but the best? definitely not!

2. My role, especially at weddings, is to be a catalyst, not a component. What does this mean? Well apart from, its the only terms that I actually remember from chemistry class, I feel that when I am given the honour of being a couples wedding photographer, its a job I don't take lightly. However, IT IS NOT MY DAY. I am not there to order people around and take control of every situation, my role is to be present in the situations that give me the best possibility to photography the moments of the day. I personally feel that 90% of the time, this can be done without making a fuss and hopefully not even be noticed! If you are interested in having me at your wedding, family event, company staff photos, then please don't be shy. I promise not to sell you my photography, if you find someone else who is better suited to your needs then I will encourage you to do there! Look forward to hearing from you!

Whilst in LA, I also had the unexpected pleasure of working alongside a photographer I’d been following for years.

I’d admired lucasnoonan’s work for a long time, so it was brilliant to finally meet him and get the chance to see him work.

I’ve been very fortunate through boxing to pick up a collection of photographers who I now call friends. People I once admired from a distance, I can now call on for advice, counsel and the occasional bit of reassurance.

One of the things I’ve come to really appreciate about working in this sport.

When I first started watching boxing, I have to admit, I was an armchair fan, tuning in for the big fights.

One personality who always cut through the noise was a trainer who seemed to hold his status in the sport very lightly. Over the last few years, as I’ve become more involved in boxing, I’ve often wondered if our paths would ever cross.

In June, I was out in Long Beach, California with the MFPro team for our first US show.

It was there that I had the honour of meeting the legend that is Freddie Roach and his wife, Marie.

For someone who has achieved so much in the sport, I was blown away by their openness, warmth and kindness.

An encounter I’ll never forget. Looking forward to getting back out to Southern California to visit the Wild Card Boxing

Last Friday our eldest, , turned 16, so we headed off to London for a few days to celebrate.

We packed plenty into the trip. Lots of walking, one of the best steaks we’ve ever had, and an evening at , which was absolutely brilliant.

These are the kind of days you know you’ll look back on.

Last weekend I was with Sports Entertainment Tours at the incredible Luke Combs 🎤 shows in the iconic Slane Castle.

My job was to capture the experience they created for their corporate guests inside the castle, while also sneaking down to the front to grab a few shots of the big man himself.

Huge thanks to Dylan Kirkpatrick📸🎬 for covering Saturday while I was in London with MFPro. I joined him on Sunday to round off a brilliant weekend.

After a couple of trips to Nashville over the past year, I’d started getting into country music, but I hadn’t really listened to Luke Combs. Safe to say that’s changed. I’m fully converted.

Waking up this morning to the news that Dáithí Mac Gabhann has finally had his long-awaited heart transplant.

Six years ago today I had the privilege of meeting Dáithí, his dad Máirtín and his mum Seph. I was there to produce a short film telling their story as part of the launch of Coleraine’s European kit, which was pink to support NHS Organ Donation. I also had the best little assistant in a then three-year-old Dáithí.

Ever since then I’ve bumped into Dáithí at different events and have been amazed by the strength of his family, and of the wee man himself, as they continued the long wait for a transplant.

So when I saw the news this morning, I found it incredibly emotional.

For the first time in his life, the wee man has a heart that works. I couldn’t be happier for him because, in every other sense, he’s always had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I’ve ever met.

At the start of June, it was great to be back with the senior men’s team at their training camp in Marbella. This time I was working with as they spoke with players from the other home nations about mental health, with a particular focus on young men. Special thanks goes to Ethan, Issac & Justin.

Richter Sports Photo Dept. 📸

Over the last year or so I’ve been trying to grow the business in different ways. So when asked me to supply photographers for a new fitness event in Dublin, I went looking for the right people.

Andy was the one who first got me into the mad world of boxing, so it’s always a pleasure working alongside him and the team at .sports.

Having , and come on board to help deliver the photography for social media and marketing at .fit has been a real blessing. Three young, enthusiastic and incredibly talented photographers who have done a fantastic job.

This weekend we completed our fourth event together, delivering over 4,000 images with a rapid turnaround, ready for immediate social media use and future marketing campaigns.

We even expanded our services by bullying into becoming the Tryka mascot for an hour. That was definitely my highlight.

We also brought .group in for a couple of days to assist with a separate project, allowing the rest of the team to focus entirely on the event.
