Photo of the Day

Porth Beach, Newquay, Celtic sea
This was one of our annual trips with friends, usually somewhere in Cornwall or the Lake District, where we tend to camp and spend as much time outdoors as possible. And wherever I travel, my camera always comes with me. This trip was no exception.
One afternoon, my friends and I decided to head to Newquay and spend some time by the coast. The sea was beautiful and dramatic that day ? rough, restless, with powerful waves rolling towards the shore.
I had recently bought a Nikon Z6, and that afternoon I was shooting with a Nikon 70?200mm f/2.8 lens paired with a 2x teleconverter. I was standing there, following the waves through the viewfinder and trying to capture the energy of the sea, when suddenly everything came together.
That was the moment I captured this photograph.
