Hello all! Well some of you may know... but I've had a bit of mad idea recently and it's finally coming to fruition! I am currently the only person in the World to design, create and produce a Highland Midge plush toy (I told you it was mad lol) - so if you like a bit of fun and want to follow the adventures, give Mhairi the Midge a follow and keep your eyes out in local shops (and across the UK) soon to see her flying off the shelves! 😍

The GOOD 😍 The BAD 😡 and the GREAT 🥳 news!

Has it really been THAT long since I last posted on here 🙈

The GOOD - I have been mega busy both in the studio, at events and with my schools photography! It has been great to take on many new schools and nurseries again this year and I am so pleased so many of you love your children's portraits!

The BAD - Now this is something I never thought I would have to post... it has come to my attention that someone who also runs another local business (someone I have even sent gift vouchers to in the past to support an event!) has stolen copyrighted images from me and edited out the copyright logos on the digital files. This is something I will not tolerate as it not only stealing from me and the hard work I do to produce these images but also from the school as well as it affects their commission. I will be dealing with this and would encourage others not to follow suit.

The GREAT - Rant over - CHRISTMAS SESSIONS will be launching soon! 🎅
I am hoping to start them October and run though to December - dates and booking link will be announced soon!

Exciting news! This Friday sees the launch of a new composition and video from a project worked on over the past year, marking the 50th anniversary of the sinking of 'The Sugar Boat'

It's been great to work along with drone videographer Gordon Russell (of Angus & Amelia Photography) and to have members of the Helensburgh Clan Colquhoun Pipe Band on the recording.
Thanks to everyone who has helped this little idea of mine become a reality!

For any musicians that would like to learn the tune, the sheet music will be available to download from my website and there will also be a video which you can learn the tune from, taught phrase by phrase by ear.
The Sugar Boat video and sheet music will also be getting sent out to local schools on both sides of the Clyde. Any schools or organisations that are interested in organising a visit or music workshop please get in touch.

Storm Eowyn has caused a few issues here, mostly trees down around the studio and access paths and phone/internet cables taken down.
Repair being conducted on Fri 31st so limited emails and no galleries uploaded or galleries sent etc. So sorry but I’ll send out emails to everyone concerned once everything is back up and running 💙 Hope everyone is safe and well!
