Baby Elephant Birthday Mud Bath 🛁

What better way to celebrate your first birthday than with a good old mud bath!

Zaiya certainly wasn’t worried about keeping clean for her birthday celebrations. Straight into the mud she went, covering herself from head to toe and having the best time doing it 🤎

Her little run at the end too and those ears 🥹 she’s just too adorable!

Zaiya’s 1st Birthday 🎂

Had such an incredible day yesterday for our girl’s 1st birthday!

Blackpool Zoo had put up a birthday board where everyone could leave her a little message, which was such a lovely idea, and they’d even put up a height chart showing just how big she is now, 114cm tall!

We also got to see the difference between Zaiya and Auntie Noorjahan’s p**p which I was quite surprised at the size difference!

And of course, spent plenty of time with the birthday girl herself. The perfect way to celebrate little Zaiya turning ONE 🐘💕

Happy 1st Birthday to the Most Precious Girl, Zaiya 🐘🎂

How is this little girl ONE already?!

From dust baths and splashing around in the mud, to touching absolutely everything with that curious little trunk and her never ending obsession with sticks… we’ve watched baby elephant Zaiya learn so much over this past year.

She’s mastered her balancing skills, become a professional pigeon chaser, perfected the art of climbing over logs, and of course, there’s that little beaming face that has to be one of the cutest things in the world.

But more than anything, Zaiya has brought so many smiles to so many people. There’s just something incredibly special about this little girl.

It has been an absolute privilege getting to watch her grow through the first year of her life, from that tiny little baby figuring out how her trunk works to the cheeky, curious and adorable little elephant she is today.

Happy 1st Birthday, precious girl 🩷

I can’t wait to watch you continue to grow, learn and show us even more of that gorgeous little personality.

Here’s to many more sticks, mud baths, trunk flicks, pigeon chases and plenty more mischief!

When Zaiya Was Starting to Get the Hang of Her Trunk 🐘

I’ve been looking back through some old footage of Zaiya ready for her birthday tomorrow, and I just can’t believe how tiny she used to look 🥹 Five months old here… where has the time gone?

Three Little Lion Cubs 🦁🦁🦁

The last few times we’ve visited, these three have spent most of their time snuggled up asleep, growing and getting stronger, but yesterday afternoon they were so much more active!

After sleeping for most of the morning, they woke up, had some milk from Mum and then headed off for a little wander around. They’re still so tiny, so it was so lovely getting to see them up and about, exploring and becoming a little more adventurous 🧡

I’m so happy to hear he’s settling in well at Dartmoor Zoo. Definitely need to plan a visit to see him again very soon, I do miss seeing this handsome boy! 🐆
