There’s a reason the Annual Subscription has become my most popular package.

It’s not just three shoots over 12 months. It’s imagery that genuinely grows with you - meeting you where you are right now, and building something richer with every visit.

Unpopular opinion: the camera is not the scary part.

Another year of ideal clients scrolling straight past you — that’s the scary part.

I’ve never met a woman who felt 100% ready to have her photo taken. Not one. But I’ve met plenty who wished they’d done it sooner - because once they did, something shifted. They showed up differently and their business moved differently.

Your photos don’t need to be perfect. They just need to exist.

Your business has grown. Your confidence has grown. Your prices have grown.

But your photos? Still the same ones from three years ago, taken in your kitchen on a grey Tuesday. ☁️

It’s one of those things that quietly niggles - you know the images aren’t doing you justice anymore, but sorting it keeps getting pushed down the list. There’s always something more urgent. Right?

Here’s the thing though - your photos are often the first impression someone gets of you and your work. And if they don’t match where you are now, there’s a disconnect - even if your audience can’t quite put their finger on why.

This year has been full of highs and lows – the kind that stretch you in completely different ways.

It’s been the busiest year of my business so far, and I’m so grateful for that. Seeing my brand subscription grow has been such a joy, allowing me to build deeper relationships with my clients and create work that feels more thoughtful and aligned.

But with that growth came overwhelm. I’m just one person, and I’m still learning how to say no, how to trust that work will continue to come, and how to protect my energy. I tried a couple of new ideas this year that didn’t quite take off – not because they were wrong, but because I didn’t have the capacity to show up for them consistently.

This was also meant to be the year I got consistent with blogging, emails and socials, but when client work exploded, something had to give. I chose to prioritise my clients and keep my head above water, trusting that consistency can return another time.

Some parts of this year have been deeply personal and I’m still finding my way through them. I’ve learnt that it’s okay to keep some things private.

What carried me through was community – my Netwalks, and the women who’ve become true friends through this work. That support has meant more than I can put into words.

Heading into 2026 with more awareness, gentler boundaries, and a lot of gratitude.

If you’re in a season where something has to give, you’re not alone. Here’s to building businesses that leave room for life too. 🥰
