Ever looked at a beauty image and thought… how on earth was that done? That’s exactly what I am showing this Septepmber!

I’m running a 3-hour Building Beauty workshop where I’ll build a full beauty setup from scratch, one light at a time, so you can actually see what each light is doing and why it’s there.

We’ll cover lighting, modifiers, placement, posing, styling and all the little decisions that take an image from “nice” to properly polished.

And then you’ll get to photograph the finished setup yourself.

It’s very hands-on, very practical, and there are limited spaces!

MANCHESTER! Who let the dogs out! 🐶📸

I’ll be at WEX Manchester on Saturday 19th September for an afternoon of dog photography, and this one is very much hands-on.

I’ll start by showing you how I work with dogs in the studio, including the stuff that can make or break a shoot. Reading their behaviour, getting their attention, working with different personalities, lighting them properly and actually getting the shot when your subject has absolutely no interest in your plans 😂

I’ll do a live shoot and talk you through what I’m doing, then you get to grab your camera and have a go with the dogs yourself.

No sitting watching me shoot for three hours. I want you taking photos too!

I’m heading to Wex Photo Video Leeds on Friday 18th September for a hands-on Studio Dog Photography Workshop, and you’ll be getting behind the camera too!

We’ll start with the things that make photographing dogs completely different from photographing people. Understanding behaviour, reading body language, getting their attention and knowing how to work safely and confidently with the dog in front of you.

Then we shoot!
