𝗡𝗮𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻, 𝘁𝗲𝗸 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁'𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱. ☕🤍

Today we're celebrating everything that makes God's Own County so special – from breathtaking landscapes and rolling dales to historic towns, rugged coastlines, incredible wildlife, and, of course, the people who call Yorkshire home.

As photographers, we're lucky to have endless inspiration right on our doorstep. Whether it's an early morning sunrise over the moors, the bustling streets of Castleford, or a quiet moment in nature, Yorkshire never fails to provide the perfect picture.

Here's to our beautiful county and all the memories we've captured through the lens.

🎉 And that's a wrap! 📸

A huge thank you to Castleford Indoor Market for once again allowing us to use the exhibition space (same time next year? 😉).

👏 Thanks also to all our members who generously gave up their time throughout the week to help look after the exhibition and chat with visitors.

❤️ Most importantly, thank you to everyone from the local community who came along, took the time to enjoy the photographs, and voted for their favourites. Your support means so much to us.

📸 I popped into Castleford Market this morning to have a look around the Castleford Camera Club Exhibition... and thankfully they hadn't put any of my photography on display! 😅

It was lovely to have a chat with some of the members and see the incredible talent we have right here on our doorstep. With over 100 fantastic photographs on display, there's everything from stunning landscapes to amazing wildlife shots – and plenty that will have you saying, "How on earth did they capture that?!" 👏

If you haven't been yet, don't panic! You still have one last chance on Saturday 18th July before the exhibition is taken down after lunchtime.

🎟️ Don't forget to pick up a voting slip from one of the Camera Club members, choose your three favourite photographs, and you could even win a print to take home.

Our local clubs and volunteers put so much time and passion into events like this, so if you're in Castleford, why not pop in, have a browse, cast your votes and show your support for some incredibly talented local photographers.

Who knows... you might even leave inspired to dust off that camera that's been sat in a drawer since your last holiday! 📷😂

I hope lots of people are able to pop along and give these talented local photographers the support they deserve. ❤️

The week has flown by, and today is the final full day of our exhibition at Castleford Indoor Market.

A Castleford photography group is showcasing more than 100 images as part of its annual exhibition.

Although Castleford Indoor Market closes at 1pm today, our exhibition will be back open from 8:30am tomorrow morning, giving you another opportunity to come along and enjoy the fantastic photography on display from our members.

Come along and discover what Castleford Camera Club is all about. With table-top activities, a model, and members on hand throughout the evening, you'll get a great insight into how the club operates and the opportunities available to photographers of all abilities.

Don't forget that the Exhibition at the Indoor Market is closed today, but reopens tomorrow (Monday 13th July) from 8:30am. Club members will be on hand throughout the day, so feel free to pop in, have a look around, and chat with us about the images on display.

Our exhibition officially opens at 10am tomorrow (Saturday 11th) and will be open throughout the week.
