University of Cambridge began with a prison sentence.

After a violent clash in Oxford, several students were arrested and hanged with the approval of King John. Fearing for their own lives, many scholars fled, some to Reading, others to Cambridge.

The rest is history.

History came to life at one of Cambridge’s most iconic venues.

We had the privilege of having the entire Cambridge Corn Exchange to ourselves as we filmed with Professor Patricia Fara and Professor Andrew Spencer. Together, we explored nearly 2,000 years of Cambridge’s history, from the city’s earliest origins and the founding of the University, to the groundbreaking discoveries of Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Rosalind Franklin, and the remarkable people whose ideas have shaped science, society and the modern world. Every conversation added another piece to the story we’re bringing to the screen.

This is just one chapter of a much bigger story.

🍍🍕 The pineapple pizza debate settled (kind of).

We had to ask Oscar the classic question: pineapple on pizza, yes or no? His answer: “It’s okay, honestly it actually pairs well with cheese.” A surprisingly diplomatic take from a pizza purist.

But then we asked the real question: what’s the weirdest topping someone’s ever asked him to put on a pizza? His answer: banana. 🍌 Yes, really. Cue the laughter.

So now we want to know 👇 What’s the strangest pizza topping YOU’VE ever tried or been asked for? Team pineapple or team “never in my life”? Drop it in the comments!

This one comes with a lot of heart. As Oscar prepares to leave Cambridge for good and start a new chapter in Greece, we just want to say thank you for everything. Thank you for sitting down with us, for sharing your story so openly, and for the laughs along the way. Cambridge has been lucky to have your pizza, your passion, and your journey. For Oscar, cooking has never just been a job, it’s home.🏠

It started young, cooking for his family and feeling something he couldn’t quite explain, a kind of joy that took over the moment good food hit the table. That feeling never left him. To this day, there’s nothing quite like it for Oscar: the anxiety fades, the noise quiets, and all that’s left is the food and the people he’s feeding.

That’s the heart behind Oscar’s Lockdown Pizza, not just great pizza, but the pure joy of feeding people something made with love.
