🚁🏭 Inside Middleport's Forgotten Flour Mill

I recently flew my drone through one of Middleport's forgotten industrial sites on Milvale Street.

What I first thought was an old potbank turned out to be the historic Port Vale Flour Mill and Middleport Calcining Works – a huge Victorian complex dating back to the 1840s, sitting right beside the Trent & Mersey Canal.

From towering brickwork and iron pillars to rooms left untouched for decades, this place is a fascinating glimpse into Stoke-on-Trent's industrial past.

This is the full 7-minute uncut drone flight with no cropping, showing this hidden piece of Potteries history from angles most people never get to see.

🎡 APEDALE MINING WHEEL 🎡

Today I teamed up with NUL Media to capture one of Staffordshire's most recognisable landmarks from the air! 🚁

Starting with a hyperlapse of the clouds rolling over Apedale, followed by a cinematic orbit around the wheel and finishing with some FPV footage from the DJI Avata 2.

The Mining Wheel stands as a tribute to the area's rich coal mining history, although I think me and NUL Media spent more time watching the clouds than the wheel itself! 😂☁️

A fantastic location, some dramatic skies and a great day out filming.

Out today with nul media and managed to capture this cracking reflection shot of the Apedale Wheel! 🎡☁️

Sometimes it's worth getting down low and looking at things from a different angle. A small puddle, some dramatic Staffordshire skies, and a bit of patience produced this shot.

Apedale never disappoints for views, and the clouds certainly put on a show today!

🚁 Stoke-on-Trent Traffic Update...

After a thorough aerial investigation, I can confirm absolutely nobody knows which lane they're supposed to be in at these roundabouts. 🤣

From up here it looks like: ➡️ "I'm going straight on..." ➡️ "Actually no, I'm turning right..." ➡️ "No wait, I've missed my turning!" ➡️ "Good luck everybody else!" 😆

It's funny how from the ground it's just another busy junction, but from the air it looks like someone dropped a giant Scalextric set in the middle of Stoke! 🚗💨

🌺 Poppies of Fenton 🌺
Hidden in plain sight at Victoria Place, these bright red poppies have appeared amongst the grass, adding a splash of colour to one of Fenton's busiest junctions.
With traffic rushing by and the old terraced houses watching over them, they're a reminder that nature always finds a way to brighten up even the most unexpected corners of Stoke-on-Trent.
