My favourite line from this review wasn't about the photographs.

It was:
"creating a relaxed atmosphere that put me completely at ease."

Of course, I'm delighted when clients love their images.

But when someone who feels uncomfortable in front of a camera leaves feeling relaxed and confident, that's the real win.

Everything else flows from there.

Thank you for such a wonderful review. I’m so pleased we captured exactly what you were hoping for, and even more delighted that you enjoyed the whole experience of having a shoot with me; I loved working with you too 😀

Can I ask ...when was the last time you updated your headshot?

Are you happy with your current profile pictures? What do your headshots & profile pics say about you?

In today's digital world, people often meet you online before they meet you in person. A professional headshot helps create a strong first impression, build trust, and showcase your professionalism.

Outdoor headshots take it a step further by combining beautiful natural light with authentic, approachable imagery that feels genuine and engaging.

Want a headshot that communicates confidence, approachability, and professionalism in a single image, then why not take advantage of my outdoor headshot sessions. I’m taking bookings for June, July & August in locations in and around Bury St Edmunds. Discounts offered for group bookings.

Volunteer Week may be ending, but my appreciation for volunteering definitely isn’t.

For nearly two years, I’ve been volunteering as a photographer with the brilliant marketing team at St Nicholas Hospice Care , and I genuinely love it. It’s such a rewarding feeling to give something back, be part of a team, and see the images I capture used across posters, social media and leaflets (like this year's guide for the Hidden Gardens event & social media posts for the Sunset Walk).

I’m especially excited to be back out photographing the Bury Hidden Gardens event again this year (Sunday 14th June) and Sunset Walk (Saturday 20th June) the following weekend ...two amazing events full of atmosphere, community and heart.

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, why not give it a go? St Nicholas Hospice is always looking for people to help at events or share their skills in other ways.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about a branding shoot is that it’s just about getting nice photos; but a branding shoot is so much more than that.

A branding shoot is about capturing the heart behind your business …the personality, the passion, and the little details that tell your story and make your brand feel like you. Just like in these photos I recently captured for Elizabeth Catchpole, owner of EC Home Organiser . Anyone who knows Elizabeth, knows she has a fabulous "can do" attitude and energy all served with a smile; I believe these images reflect these qualities and will undoubtedly help to attract her ideal clients.

Because ...A brand shoot is about creating images that help people connect with you before you’ve even said a word. Images that make your website feel more aligned, your content feel consistent, and your brand feel more personal. Because when your photos truly reflect who you are and what your business stands for, showing up online feels so much easier and so much more natural.

That’s why I believe branding photography isn’t just about looking polished.
It’s about building connection, trust, and confidence in the way you share your business with the world. Because when your imagery feels true to you, your brand feels stronger too.

If you’ve been thinking about investing in brand photos that feel authentic, intentional, and personal, I’d love to work with you. Send me a message and we can arrange a chat.

This lovely Google review from Lauren made me blush 🥹

She came to her branding shoot feeling like “a bag of nerves”, which is something I hear so often, but left having actually enjoyed the experience, and honestly, that means such a lot to me.

One of the things I care about most is helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera. I know how daunting it can feel, which is why I take time before the shoot to really get to know my clients, their business, their brand, and what they want from their images.

That way, when shoot day comes around, it feels much more relaxed, personal and enjoyable and they leave with a gallery of images that really feels like them.

And as for “creative genius” … I’m not so sure about that one 😄 but I do love bringing creative ideas to each session, so every client gets something bespoke.

If you’ve been putting off booking your own branding shoot because the thought of being in front of the camera feels a bit daunting, I’d love to help. Get in touch and let’s create a set of images that feels like you and works hard for your business.

Hello June ☀️
And just like that, we’re nearly halfway through 2026…

How’s your year been going?
I’ve had a brilliant first 5 months, but looking ahead, summer bookings are feeling a little quiet and I know I’m not the only one. A lot of small business owners I’ve spoken to are feeling the slowdown too.

When things get quieter, it’s easy to think about pulling back on marketing… but honestly, that’s often the worst time to go quiet.

Visibility creates opportunity. A branding shoot gives you fresh content, boosts your confidence, and helps your business stay visible and memorable even in slower seasons. The businesses that keep showing up are often the ones that come out stronger.

So instead of hiding away and waiting for the lull to pass, why not use this time to get ahead.

If you want to attract more of the right clients, drop me a message and let’s chat about a branding shoot.

A branding shoot is so much more than just getting a few nice photos.

It’s an investment in your business, your confidence, and the way people connect with your brand.

Having a bank of images that feel like you makes it so much easier to show up online consistently …on Facebook, Instagram, your website, and everywhere in between. It helps people get a feel for who you are, what you do, and why they should trust you.

Good branding photos don’t just make things look pretty, they help your business feel more personal, professional, and memorable.

That’s exactly why Lauren of Olympiad Business Solutions decided to invest in a branding shoot. As a newer business, she knew that showing up consistently online would help potential clients notice her, connect with her, and feel confident enough to make that first enquiry. And while a branding shoot can feel like a big investment, it’s one that can help move your business forward faster and with more intention.

Following her shoot Lauren emailed to say not only did she love her images but “they have really given me a boost in confidence, which I hadn’t quite expected but really appreciate.”

Ready to show up more confidently and consistently in your business?

Let’s create branding photos that do exactly that. Drop me a message to find out about packages and availability.

Very excited & proud to be involved in this new business networking group. If you’re local to Bury St Edmunds, why not come along to our first meeting. See post below for details.

Well this is exciting!!

Last year I met an amazing group of women at a networking group in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. They are so amazing that we have branched out and created !

Why did we do this? We all belong to multiple networking groups, but somehow we felt something was missing. By creating we endeavour to fill those gaps.

This group is all about building trust. This isn’t about attending one meeting and not coming back. It’s about creating a network that will stand the test of time.

Follow for more information or come to our launch meeting on:

Wednesday 27th May from 10am-12pm

At The Meadow Room, Roots Cafe, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

Message me or email [email protected] for more information.

How important are reviews to your business?

I’m always so grateful to clients who leave reviews, especially those that are as wonderful as this one from Julie, following her mini branding shoot with me.

Each review not only helps my business grow, but it also supports other clients in making confident choices. I rarely left reviews before becoming a business owner myself but quickly learned how valuable they are in growing visibility and credibility as a small business.

So, a big thank you to Julie and all my lovely clients who take time to leave a review, it is truly appreciated.

And if you’re looking for a “recommended” branding photographer to showcase your business, why not drop me a message to see if I’m the right one for you.

What’s happened to the weather? I’ve had to dig out my winter coat this week to walk the dog. I shot this image at the end of April, in a shady position in the garden to avoid the full glare of the warm, glorious sunshine!

So pleased I seized the moment to capture the beautiful lilac blooms, for my greeting card licensing portfolio, as they are now starting to go over. It doesn’t look like warmer weather is in store for the weekend either, but fingers crossed the forecast for rising temperatures towards the end of next week is accurate.

Have a lovely weekend all.
