The sky over Yorkshire at 2am… absolutely exploded. 🌌

I almost didn’t bring my camera on this short break to the Dales — but with a few CMEs heading our way, I took the chance. Standing in the silence at Kilnsey, the horizon suddenly lit up with deep reds, purples and electric greens dancing across the valley.

No filters. No composites. Just one unforgettable moment under a wild UK sky.

✨ Banded Demoiselles – Titchmarsh Nature Reserve ✨
A flurry of iridescent wings over the water at Titchmarsh, part of the Wildlife Trust’s protected wetlands. These damselflies are dazzling up close - their metallic blue-green shimmer is always a summer highlight.

🌌 The Milky Way – Bala, North Wales 🌌
Taken just south of Bala in a quiet, low light pollution field. Standing beneath a sky filled with thousands of stars, the Milky Way stretched out in full detail above — one of those moments that reminds you how small we really are.

⛰️ The View Beyond Red Pike – Buttermere, Lake District ⛰️
After a steep climb past Red Pike, this dramatic valley opened up beneath the clouds. In the distance, the Scafell Range dominates the skyline — with Great Gable standing proud at the centre. The rugged lines of the fells and shifting light made for a truly atmospheric moment. Black and white felt like the perfect way to capture the raw mood of the landscape.

Caught this Typhoon in full afterburner, punching through the grey skies with raw power. The vapour streaming off the wings and the fiery exhausts really made this shot pop - one of my favourites from the show!

I originally went to Mull for the wildlife - and it didn’t disappoint. From puffins building nests on cliff edges, to a wild otter sneaking through the kelp, and even golden eagles circling above the peaks, it was a nature photographer’s dream.

But like many things, this post took a back seat. Other projects came first. My style evolved. And only recently did I feel ready to do these encounters justice. After months of revisiting and refining, I’ve finally pieced it all together in a way that feels right.

So here it is - a gallery full of curious eyes, untamed moments, and a fair few feathers. Take a look and let me know your favourites 🐾

My First trip where I left the mirrorless at home, and honestly, it was refreshing to just explore and enjoy. Great company, plenty of laughs, and this city is packed with beautiful architecture and history. Many memories made.

📸 Castle Combe meets pure automotive beauty.
I was in the right place at the right time - standing on the bridge when this stunning red Lotus Emira came up the lane. I quickly positioned myself and captured this moment against the timeless charm of Wiltshire’s Castle Combe.
There is just something about Red on Black and White I love 😍
