Emily Hancock Art

Emily Hancock Art Emily Hancock is an Equine Fine Art Photographer and Mixed Media Artist based in Hampshire. BE BOLD, BE BRAVE AND MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE.

Over the years I have invested hugely in creative, personal and business development and continue to do so. I run a successful photography business www.emilyhancock.co.uk and have also been training photographers for the last four years. I continuously drive my business to new levels and love to expand my creative boundaries. I have recently been awarded the highest accolade, a Fellowship for my f

ine art equine photography from the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and I was voted South East Photographer of the Year in 2012. Since being involved in training I have received encouragement and accolades from various clients both professional and amateur with regard to my training courses. I feel proud and privileged to be in a position to pass on my knowledge and experience to other like-minded creative people. I have spent many hours creating courses that will truly make a difference. I have designed the courses with the utmost attention to detail and inclusive of all the information you will need to be successful. My intention is not to drip feed but to be open and honest, and to give you a complete picture on how to survive and thrive in the ever changing creative market. YOU MIGHT NOT THINK YOU'RE GOOD ENOUGH OR CREATIVE ENOUGH BUT THAT'S WHERE WE CAN HELP.

Who’s up for getting a bit of “me” time back. Now the kids are back at school and life resumes to some sort of normal… or maybe your looking for a new challenge….so who’s ready to embrace their creative side and give my “Tuesday studio”sessions a go? This is about finding that little bit of time to be creative and think of nothing else other than just being in the moment. Maybe you have never “been creative” but always wanted to try or maybe you loved it in school but after then never picked up a paint brush again. This is about being brave enough to turn up to a safe space with no judgment of others or yourself and your abilities and just spend time doing something you’ll love. Come sign up… it’s going to be so wonderful!

So here is the final piece…. I am actually really happy with this one. You can’t see in the photo but there is so much texture and depth in the final piece. It has so many layers built up. It took me about a month to create but if you add in the time from research, collection of materials and hand made prints right thorough to today it’s about a year haha… 😜 for those who love a neutral pallet, Portuguese horses and large art…. This one is for you. Available for purchase….. 😁…….. but before that shall we name him…. I don’t have a title for this piece yet…. Suggestions below…. Thanks for the help ❤️

Well all I can say is WOW! Sketchbook club has been an incredible success and I have been utterly blown away by how incredible all these children have been. What has fascinated me is that all the boys and girls have been fully engaged, head down focused on their art, creating freely without judgment and with no expectations. Without fear they embraced every exercise every challenge and did it with a huge smile on their faces. Getting them to stop and have a break was no easy task! Now what makes me a little sad is that I know some of these children may well go on to be adults that never draw or paint again. So many people tell me they loved art as a child but they never continued after school. School was the last time they were creative. Now I feel it’s my mission to help people discover their creativity once again! So watch this space for more art sessions…. Hands up who wants in 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Creating art that sits on anyone’s wall has been my main mission for the last 15 years. Prior to that I worked solely for individual clients creating artwork that only they could hang. With a young family it was important to me to create work that I could sell for years to come to multiple art buyers, interior designers, hotel owners and both private and commercial collectors. My portfolio consists of original artworks, editions prints and open editions. Hands up who loves hanging art work on their walls…..🙌🏻

Summer always gives a wonderful break in routine. The routines I have in the winter are totally different - hunkering down in front of the fire going to bed early and yet when the summer arrives I find myself using the days in a completely different way, staying up late, eating outdoors, relaxing all the rules I set myself. I find this with my art practise as well. I’m more likely to create for longer periods of time working outdoors in the sunshine and taking inspiration from the colours of summer. So much of my work is muted in tone and little colour but all of a sudden when summer arrives colour arrives in my pallet….. anyone here love the colours of summer?

I need your help… and yes there is a chance to win this beautiful art print in exchange….keep reading ❤️

Ok so… 28 years ago I built my business by chatting to people, meeting people face to face and building real relationships. Now apparently I’m supposed to be really good at Instagram… posting all the time, understanding the algorithm, getting likes, comments, shares and followers… and if I’m honest, I’m massively failing at this bit of my business 🤣.

So I’m asking all of you… my lovely online family, friends and followers to HELP!

I want to see if this whole social media thing can actually help grow my little art business.

So here’s the deal…

When I reach 5,000 (I’m at 4400 ish now) followers I’m going to give this beautiful fine art print away to one of you as a thank you.

If you’d like to help me get there I’d be so grateful if you could…
