I am beyond excited to announce that my 2027 Costa Rica tour is now officially live on the website! This trip is incredibly personal to me. Back in 2021, I spent three months exploring Costa Rica, and it was during that time that I decided I wanted to pursue wildlife photography as a career.

To be heading back to some of my favourite places on earth as a professional guide is a dream come true. To make this trip truly special, I have co-created this 17-day itinerary with a friend and fantastic Costa Rican naturalist whom I met during my time there in 2021. He will be our local guide throughout the journey, ensuring we are always in the right place at the right time for the best sightings.

While I know these locations well, this is the first time I am running this specific group itinerary. Because of this, I have set a special introductory price for this inaugural trip. I’ll be looking for plenty of feedback from my guests at the end of the journey to help me perfect this for the future, so you’ll be playing a vital role in shaping this tour’s legacy.

The Malabar pied hornbill, photographed 4 ways. Whilst there is so much wildlife to see in Sri Lanka, I always found myself being drawn in by these beautiful birds.

All taken whilst guiding in Sri Lanka last month.

Little owls.

I've been lucky enough to photograph these stunning birds at 2 different locations over the last couple of months. One was during my time in Spain in April, and most recently on the Isle of Sheppey running workshops earlier this month. I don't think it's possible to get bored of these small predators, they're absolutely full of character.

The vultures of Spain.

A few of my favourite Griffon & Black Vulture photos from my recent trip to Toledo with Nature Talks Photo Festival

But it wasn't just vultures: Spanish Imperial Eagles, Hoopoes, Bee-eaters and much more were also on the (photography) menu. I've not been great with posting photos on here, but I shall do my best to share more shots very soon!

The elephants of Sri Lanka.

What an incredible privilege it was to have so many special moments photographing elephants last month. I'd never had the opportunity to see wild elephants before and knew I'd feel quite emotional when seeing them for the first time. I wish I could put into words how it felt to spend so much time in the presence of these huge animals, but turns out I'm not a great writer... So this'll have to do.

I'm back on YouTube with this video being all about photographing Adders as ethically as possible.

I was even lucky enough to get a glimpse of my first ever black adder! What a stunning creature.

In today's video I go through how to find and photography adders, whilst stressing the need to do so as ethically as possible. It's an important time of the ...

The 3 different species of monkey in Sri Lanka: Toque Macaque, Grey Langur & Purple-faced Langur.

We were treated to many sightings of the macaques and the grey langurs, and they provided us with no end of photographic opportunities! There's something about the constant playing and bickering that make them so much fun to watch.

The purple-faced langur were a whole different story, much harder to see. In fact, we only saw them once on our 16 day trip and that was on the second to last day! Thankfully, it was more than just a mere glimpse and we were able to "complete" the set of all of Sri Lanka's monkeys.

Sri Lanka is home to 3 different types of Bee-eaters: the Asian Green, the Blue-tailed and the Chestnut-headed.

They were one of my photographic highlights during my trip to Sri Lanka. As you can see, they really are stunning birds and luckily for us, they were incredibly approachable. They would sometimes come and land only a few metres away from our safari jeep - a photographer's dream.

Just a handful of photos of the wonderfully varied lizards of Madagascar; there seems to be an almost endless amount of different species. Since I don't get to see & photograph reptiles very often, I'm already longing to go back and spend more time capturing shots of these oddballs.

I'm off to spend 2 weeks in Sri Lanka tomorrow morning (absolutely buzzing!), so I hope I'll be able to share more photos of some stunning & exotic wildlife very soon.
