Waimea Canyon on Kauai. Absolutely beautiful!

It is often called the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” is a breathtaking natural landmark on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Stretching approximately 14 miles long, a mile wide, and over 3,600 feet deep, the canyon showcases dramatic red and brown cliffs interwoven with lush green vegetation and cascading waterfalls.

Lush taro fields on the Island of Kauai. Taro is a root veggie similar to a potato. It is used to make poi.
If you have had poi, what is your opinion?

"Chickens of Kauai" This is one of so many chickens I photographed in Kauai. I guess I was unaware of how many chickens there were. I had a blast documenting so many!!!

My new favorite thing: Chickens of Kauai. While I know many who have chickens as pets, am I the last to know that 10s of thousands roam the Island of Kauai wild?
While the people of Kauai consider these beautiful birds a nuisance, I chose to look at their beauty.
More chickens to come!
