Aurora Borealis in Riga - Latvia! 🇱🇻

It's been two years since the biggest aurora storm in the past 20 years, so I thought what better time to share the photos (and a few videos) that I took then but never shared before 😄

I think this is the only non-Brighton post I've ever made on Facebook, but I reckon it's worth it...

Check out the effect of emissions on the top of the Sun 😮

Bit of an early annoucement as well - but I'm going to be showing my work at two Open Houses this year!

One-Six-Nine on the Fiveways Trail, where I'll be showing my astrophotography again (including my South Downs National Park Astro winner!) 😁

Plus, the Aurora House on the Kemptown Trail where I'll be showing some of my more atmospheric Brighton photography 😊

Brighton Murmuration 🐦🩵

Made a mini video from Saturday night's starling murmuration down by the pier. Light wasn't the best but the windy weather, waves, people and pier lights made it quite atmospheric.

Aurora Borealis overlooking Poynings taken early yesterday morning ☁️💚🩷

I took this photo at 2:37am after waiting for the clouds to clear after being out most of the night in the freezing cold and high winds. I think I normally would've given up way before, but I'd already been up most of the night before and out once earlier in the evening 😅

It's not a patch on the aurora show from the night before but I guess something is better than nothing! Right? 😄 Plus, I didn't even realise I'd captured anything at the time!
