I was asked to carry out a roof inspection at the weekend.

I was really happy to have been able to help the client out, they were able to see that they had a couple of areas that may need closer inspection by a qualified tradesperson.
It took around 45 mins, and the client now has a full report, high resolution images and video to show the suspect areas to a roofing specialist.

It stopped raining.
Went to Ironbridge with my family and took the drone just in case, glad i did.
All the years in Shropshire and I have never seen Ironbridge like this, you can really see the gorge.

This is one of the first photo's i took with the new drone.
Being able to fly further away allowed me to get all four of Bridgnorth's well know features in one photo.
One of the last times we had dry weather, looking forward to getting back out when the rain stops and blue skies return.

One of the things I really love doing, when not working, is flying drones at last light and when its fully dark.
Our towns and cities really transform and take on a new lease of life.

My name is Leon and I’d like to introduce myself and give you a little background about me !

Having been in the Royal Air Force as an Avionics Engineer for 30yrs, and counting, I fully understand flight law and how to operate around air vehicles. It has taught me just how important being safe and exacting in what you do is, and is now second nature.

Any job I undertake receives the same level of care, professionalism and passion, and I pride myself on maintaining high standards no matter what I do.

This whole idea started out as a hobby, I have always been a photographer since a young age, I love a gadget so, so it was only natural I got a drone to take things a step further.

In 2025 I was asked to help a colleague who was organising an Armed Forces Day and needed someone he could rely on to cover the event. Having spent my whole career working around aviation, public and coordinating last minute projects, I couldn’t wait to get involved.

I realised I wanted to do more than just photography so entered the world of videography from the air and ground and media production.
