“Wanted, person with own hi-8 camera to go to Peru”
What would you say?
Rolling back to November 1994 after saying “yes” to Emily Fielden and Mopsa Wolff Metternich who were making a film about the soon to occur eclipse in South America.

We left Peru for Putre, (a village in the Chilean Andes), where we met a few bemused locals, astronomers, eclipse chasers and ravers. I hope you enjoy meeting them too!

Ps. Please excuse the video quality, I recorded this on my phone off the tv as I only have an old vhs copy of the film.
I hope it helps get you excited about the forthcoming eclipse this week.

A Shropshire Wedding

Hadar and Matthew"s fairy tale marriage celebrations at Upton Cressett Hall.

The smiles, the love, the joy of friends and family made their day completely magical. Thank you to this beautiful couple for allowing me to share a few of their special moments. I am sure you will join me in wishing them a long and happy life together.

I took both observational photographs as well as having a few quiet moments with the couple. How would you like your wedding photographed?

A Shropshire Wedding
🤍
Hadar and Matthew travelled from France for their Shropshire wedding. Dual faith marriage celebrations, with guests gathered from across the globe were joined together in this idyllic and enchanting venue. In an environment of pure joy, this deeply romantic couple were surrounded by an abundance of love and admiration as family and friends all helped to make their day a dream come true. It was truly an honour to witness such happiness and beauty.
💐
At the last minute my colleague who was due to be videoing the day was taken ill, very kindly, Amelia Hart stepped in to take some jaw-droppingly gorgeous shots. Thank you Amelia!
💍
Thank you to John Laurence Pedrick Music for the use of his dreamy track “Starlight”.

Ellen in the bluebell woods
🌿
Ellen (on instagram) is an extremely talented author and illustrator but somewhat shy in front of the camera. I was recently asked to help her take an author picture for her or her upcoming graphic novel, “Unreal”. The novel includes a fantasy world in an imaginary forest where Ellen would escape as a child to adventure in the dense foliage and winding trees.
It turned out our limited timeframe arrived on one of those beautiful April days with sunshine, shadows and a light breeze. So off to the woods we went. Ellen warned me she might be a “tricky” subject, and initially she was, see the first photograph of her looking terrified at the camera. After I suggested she take a moment and listen to the birds, showed her the results of the first few test shots I took, she soon relaxed and we continued the afternoon having a joyful tiptoe through the bluebells, (taking care not to harm any). See if you can catch a sight of her fabulous shoes, they might give you an idea of one of her early inspirations. Let me know if you can work that out. We also met a friendly puppy in the woods, popped into a curve of a rapeseed oil field and came out smiling.
I’m not sure if she will use any of these pictures, or if she will choose her selfie, I’ll find out when the book is published I guess.
