Abbotts Court, one of my favourite places to shoot.

As one of their recommended photographers, I love how this venue naturally creates the kind of weddings I’m drawn to — relaxed, stylish and lots of dancing.

Exclusive use means the weekend starts early. Shepherd’s huts, a wood-fired hot tub, family and friends arriving, settling in and actually spending time together before the wedding day.

By the time the wedding arrives, everyone already feels connected. Nothing feels forced.

Add a brilliant team, a beautiful rural setting and a good after-party, and you’ve got a pretty perfect wedding weekend.

How does it feel having me at your wedding?

It should feel effortless.
My couples tell me they felt completely at ease in front of my camera. Their guests loved having me around. And somehow, the photographs feel elevated without ever feeling overly posed or performed.

Knowing when to be there. And knowing when to disappear.

I’m there for the moments that need a little direction — the portraits, the energy, the in-between moments when you’re not quite sure what to do with yourselves.

Because the best photographs aren’t always the ones I’ve orchestrated.

Because twenty years from now, the photographs that matter won’t simply remind you that everything looked beautiful.

They’ll take you straight back to the feeling.

For the couples who’d rather live the moment than perform for it.

If being photographed usually makes you feel awkward, stiff or painfully aware of where your hands are… I get it.

And, thankfully, that’s not how I photograph weddings.

My couples often tell me they felt comfortable, relaxed and completely at ease — even when being in front of a camera wasn’t naturally their thing.

That’s the whole point.

Think less ‘everyone look at the camera’ and more editorial eye, real energy, beautiful light, completely you.

I’ll give you direction when it’s needed, but I’m never going to make you feel like you’re auditioning for a photoshoot.

You can forget I’m there.

And somewhere in between, we’ll make photographs that feel effortless, elevated and very, very you.

The shoot before the wedding
Your wedding day isn’t the first time you should be standing in front of my camera.

A Save the Date shoot is a chance for us to meet properly. It gives you the opportunity to experience what it’s like to be photographed by me, without the nerves, timeline of your wedding day.

You’ll discover that you don’t need to know what to do with your hands. You don’t need to be naturally “good at photos”. You don’t need to perform. That’s the real value of a pre-wedding shoot.

One of my favourite things about photographing a wedding at Clock Barn, Wi******er is knowing that the best photographs often happen in the moments you can’t plan.

Before I photograph your wedding, I’m already thinking ahead.

I don’t want to be hoping I get the shot. I want to already be in the right place. That’s the difference between simply being there with a camera and being a wedding photographer who knows how to anticipate a wedding.

At Clock Barn, there are so many opportunities for beautiful photographs — the gorgeous light, the architecture, the gardens, the little pockets of quiet between the big moments.

So you don’t have to worry about whether I’ve got it.

You don’t have to stop enjoying your wedding so I can take a photograph.

Because reliability isn’t about taking hundreds of photographs and hoping some are good. It’s about preparation and anticipation and experience in knowing what I’m looking for.

And that’s how the photographs that mean the most to you are made.

There’s something about being in the Dolomites that feels very close to the way I want to approach The Edit.

I’ve been here connecting with Italian suppliers, gathering ideas, and beginning to shape what the workshop will actually become.

And it’s taken me right back to my foundation art college era — shooting analogue film, playing with light and shadow, waiting for an image to reveal itself rather than trying to control every part of it.

That feeling of experimentation is a huge part of what I want to bring into The Edit.

This won’t be a workshop about following a formula or recreating someone else’s work. It’s about creating space to look differently, experiment, make mistakes, play with light, movement, composition and story — and see what happens.

I want it to be for people in the wedding industry who are curious. People who want to push themselves creatively, try something a little unexpected, and learn in a genuinely open and collaborative environment.

The Dolomites are giving me plenty to think about as the pieces start coming together — and I’m so excited to share more.

Home. Lucky to call this place home. From war in Africa to South London then settling here. The place in UK I actually feel I can call home. My first visit noticed how everyone smiled so much. Would spend every weekend after work driving 3hrs each way to windsurf in a howling gale in the middle of winter because Dorset has the energy. Literally love it.
