The couple portrait session is honestly one of my favourite parts of the day.
I know a lot of people dread it — the idea of being posed and directed while your guests are inside having a drink without you. But it really doesn’t have to be like that. I keep it short, usually around 20 minutes, and I make it as relaxed as possible. No awkward stances, no “put your hand here” — just the two of you, walking, talking, enjoying a rare quiet moment together on what is otherwise the busiest day of your lives.
And then you get photos like these. 🤍
That’s the thing about carving out even a small amount of time for portraits — the results are always worth it. These are the ones that end up framed on your wall, or as your phone background, or that you find yourself scrolling back to years later.
If you’re worried about the portrait session, just know — by the time we get to it, you’ll probably be glad of the excuse to sneak away for a bit. 😊
