A Walk through From Start to Finish
Final edits this week for this lovely wedding in Devon. I had a vision for this image and what I captured straight out of camera needed a little help!
This image was captured on top of a cliff during golden hour. Space was limited, and I was shooting with a 35mm lens, so I knew that to fully showcase the incredible landscape, a little creative editing would be needed.
The image was first brought into Lightroom, where I adjusted the exposure and colours to ensure both the backlit couple and the background were balanced and naturally exposed. I also added a subtle touch of grain to create a timeless, slightly vintage feel.
From there, the image was taken into Photoshop. Using generative expansion techniques, I extended the landscape to create a wider, more cinematic composition. The car visible in the background was removed, and the surrounding landscape was cleaned up to keep the focus entirely on the couple and the scenery.
I then refined the dress, darkening the veil slightly to enhance its detail and allow it to stand out more prominently against the light.
Finally, the image was converted to black and white, with a soft glow added to create a dreamy, romantic finish that complements the mood of the moment.
