To everyone who entered the British Hairdressing Awards this year… congratulations.

Before a single finalist is announced or a trophy is lifted, you’ve already achieved something worth celebrating.

You had an idea. You invested in it. You gave up your time, pushed your creativity, trusted your team, and had the courage to put your work in front of the industry’s biggest stage.

As a photographer, I know what goes into creating an award entry. It’s not just a photoshoot. It’s months of planning, finding the right team, countless hours of preparation, hair, makeup, styling, retouching… and, of course, the significant financial investment it takes to bring a vision to life.

That deserves recognition.

Whether you’re shortlisted or not, your collection will be seen around the world. Your images will inspire others, appear in magazines, feature on websites, and become part of the history of British hairdressing.

That is something to be incredibly proud of.
