Last month we invited staff to take part in the Business in the Community Northern Ireland initiative, 'Sustainable September' by donating items to the Northern Ireland Hospice.

We collected a large number of items and are delighted to donate these to the charity.

Phoenix Energy and Sport Changes Life have returned to the classroom for the second half of our Environmental Education Programme. 🌍

Working with primary schools across East Down and Greater Belfast, the programme combines sport, physical activity and interactive learning to help young people understand sustainability, biodiversity and the importance of protecting our environment.🌱

We’re delighted to continue this partnership, with Harberton North Special School among the first to take part this year!

🌍 Celebrating Diversity Day at Phoenix! 🍽️

We marked this year’s Diversity Day with a Foods of the World team breakfast, where colleagues cooked and shared traditional dishes inspired by their heritage. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring people together, share cultures and enjoy flavours from around the world.

We were also privileged to hear from Dr Lilian Seenoi-Barr from Northwest Migrant Forum, who shared her personal story and spoke about her work supporting migrant and minority ethnic communities.

It was a truly special day celebrating the diversity of people, cultures, backgrounds and experiences that enrich our workplace and wider communities. 💛

The Phoenix Community Fund has helped Ballycarry Community Association cover the purchase of refreshments for their monthly social gatherings in the community hall.

The gatherings form social connections and with the help of the fund, will remain free for those in the community to attend. 👏
