One of the things I hear most often from couples is that they don't feel comfortable in front of the camera.

The good news is that you don't need to.

Many of the couples you see on my page felt exactly the same way before their wedding. They worried they might be awkward, didn't know what to do with their hands or simply didn't enjoy having their photograph taken.

My job isn't to make you perform for the camera. It's to create space for you to enjoy your wedding day while I quietly document everything unfolding around you. The laughter, the emotion, the hugs, the happy tears and all those little moments you don't even realise are happening.

And when we do take a few portraits together, it doesn't need to feel staged or uncomfortable. A short walk, a few minutes away from the crowd and a chance to simply be together is often all that's needed before we get you straight back to your celebrations.

The best photographs happen when you're focused on each other, not on me.

If you're planning a relaxed, guest-focused wedding and are looking for a photographer who will blend seamlessly into your day while capturing the moments that matter most, I'd love to hear from you.

Beautiful, elevated portraits don’t have to mean stepping away from your day for hours or feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera.

This image was created during a recent Oxford Nikkah inside the mosque. Drawn from the atmosphere and architecture of the space itself, it feels quiet, reflective and deeply connected to the significance of the day.

I love creating portraits that feel calm, elegant and timeless while still feeling completely authentic to the couple in front of me. The aim is never to interrupt the celebration, but to weave a handful of meaningful portraits naturally into the flow of the day alongside all the laughter, emotion and connection unfolding around you.

The result is a collection of photographs that captures both the story of your day and a few beautifully crafted images that you’ll treasure for generations.

If you’re planning a Nikkah or wedding and are looking for photography that combines natural storytelling with elegant, heartfelt portraits, I’d love to hear about your plans.

One of my favourite moments at almost every wedding happens just after the ceremony.

Not the confetti.

Not the group photographs.

The moment when couples realise it's done.

The nerves disappear, shoulders drop and for the first time all day they get a chance to properly look at each other.

It's often only a few seconds long, but it's one of the moments I always watch for.
These are often the photographs couples return to years later because they remind them exactly how that moment felt.

If you're planning a relaxed wedding and looking for beautifully candid photographs that capture the atmosphere as well as the big moments, I'd love to hear more about your plans.

Really enjoying this wedding season already 🤍

So many lovely conversations with couples who care deeply about being present with the people they love most and having photography that captures not just how it all looked, but how it felt to be there.

This year’s weddings are already reminding me why I love this work so much. The emotion, the atmosphere, the small in-between moments that often end up meaning everything.

And although there are still a small handful of spaces for 2026 weddings, next year’s diary is beginning to quietly fill with some really beautiful celebrations already which always feels incredibly special.

Beautifully candid wedding photography for relaxed, guest-focused weddings across Somerset, Bath, Bristol and beyond.

Still not over .

Just 16 minutes from home for me, and already a venue I know I’ll be returning to often. There’s something about it that feels both beautifully refined and completely open to making it your own.

With another orangery on the way, it’s only going to become even more special.

Perfect for relaxed, really personal celebrations and photography that captures how it all truly felt.

Yesterday at Minerva Vines, a brand new wedding venue nestled on the Bristol side of Bath, perfectly placed for both cities, everything came together so beautifully. Bright sunshine, thoughtful styling and two genuinely lovely couples who made it all feel relaxed and real from the start.

Mel and Hannah at created something incredibly considered. Every detail had intention, but nothing felt overworked. It allowed the atmosphere of the day to lead, which is always where the most meaningful photographs come from.
This is where I do my best work. Calm, observant and tuned into what’s unfolding rather than directing it. Knowing when to step in and when to hold back comes from years of experience, and it’s what allows a day like this to feel effortless for everyone involved.

For couples who want to soak it all up. To be fully present with the people they love. To live in the moment without feeling pulled away from it. Photography that quietly holds onto it all, so you can come back to how it felt, long after the day has passed.

More to follow.

A slow afternoon, just as it was.
No big plans, no pressure to perform. Just time together at home, at the park, in the middle of all the little moments that so often pass unnoticed.

The way they lean into you without thinking.
The laughter that builds from nowhere.
The quiet, ordinary magic of being together.
This is what family life really feels like, and this is what I’m always looking for. Not perfect, not posed, just honest and full of connection.

These are the photographs that will mean more with time.
If you’d love your own family story captured like this, I offer relaxed documentary sessions across Bath and Bristol, alongside weekday portrait sessions for something a little shorter.

Family Storytelling Photography Sessions are a beautiful way to capture the story of your little family at this stage of life.

Children change so quickly and only stay little for such a short time - let me document this moment for you to look back on for years to come. So that when they are grumpy teenagers you can remember that they were lovely once.

And when you are old and it’s their turn to look after you, they will know how very loved they have been.

Grandparents, pets and other family members always welcome in sessions.

If this strikes a chord with you then let’s talk. [email protected]
