WORKSHOPS!
4 days ago I released my first wave of styled equine workshops to my mailing list, working with the Horsemanship Training team in Cheltenham and the Pen Llyn Lusitano team in North Wales.
There are a few spots remaining if you'd like to capture fantastic horsemanship, beautifully trained horses and some awesome styling.

Our workshop images have gathered dozens of medals for our delighted participants from club, National and International levels!

Why is it always so hard to choose your favourite image?
Shot on one of my equine photo workshops in North Wales, UK.

I so adore the colours in all 3 images, the pop of the royal blue adds richness, that hand made gold halter adds opulence, the added texture into the fabric backdrop brings those painterly vibes I so love.

which

I'm ready to release this year's equine photography workshops, 12 dates in all!
-
If this is the type of image you'd love to capture, give me a comment!
All workshop places are released primarily to my mailing list, if any places remain, they then go on public sale.
-
I endeavour to never repeat the same set with the same costume (getting out of my Celtic leather armour can be challenging though!)
-
What would be your dream set?
Colour of horse?
Horse breed?
Costume preference?
Ridden, liberty or portrait?
Ideal location?
-
My workshops have been up mountains, on the beach, in beautiful woodland, in scenic fields, even indoor and outdoor arenas. We work where the ground is good and the horses feel secure.
Thoroughbreds, Gypsy cobs, Lusitano and Andalucian, Murgese, Fjord, Welsh, Shetland, Arabian, ISH, you name it, we've had it!
From beginners to professionals, come and experience a great day's photography with a super team!

Stuck what do do over the Easter break?
Join our FREE editing challenge!

Over the 4 days you will learn how to create fine art images using:

multiple exposures - blending and layering photographs to create richer images

dispersion - breaking apart images to add movement and energy

Adamski style - painterly abstract images using blur

Pep Ventosa style - combining shots to build impressionistic images

Along the way we will be hand masking, using select and mask, LUTs, making brushes, working with solid colour layers, and exploring how to find inspiration. And of course as well as learning - we'll make sure there's plenty of fun too!

Every week I am visiting a different camera club giving a variety of presentations, from live edits, dressing up club members for group photoshoots, insider secrets of equine photography, how to use textures or even how to dream up arty or otherworldly subject inspiration!
I'm a very sociable person and like nothing more than helping other photographers gain skills and knowledge!

This week I visited Drogheda Photographic Club in Ireland and Stirling and District Camera Club, Scotland. Last week Batley and Leeds, both in my home county, Yorkshire.

Here are a few images from March's club travels!

The lovely playing at being a birds nest yesterday. It actually snowed too, which was rather unplanned but brought some beautiful atmosphere to the image set!

I'm enjoying creating props and embellishing some old gowns after the last 3 weeks of what has seemed constant rain, a girl has hot to keep herself busy!
