🌊 Zavial Beach | Praia do Zavial, Portugal

After a few weeks back to the grind of daily life, I find myself wishing I was back in Portugal, enjoying the sunshine, beautiful coastline and incredible beaches.

So I thought I’d share one of the beaches I had the chance to capture from above — Zavial Beach, or Praia do Zavial as the locals call it.

Tucked away along the Algarve’s stunning western coastline, Zavial is a beautiful little stretch of golden sand surrounded by rugged cliffs, crystal-clear Atlantic waters and the natural landscape that makes this part of Portugal so special.

From the ground it’s beautiful, but seeing the beach from above really gives you an appreciation of its shape, colours and how wonderfully untouched the surrounding coastline feels.

Safe to say, I wouldn’t mind being back there right now. ☀️

📍 Old Court, Strangford

While I was in Strangford, I had a little mission to capture an aerial photo of Old Court after someone got in touch with me about creating a special wedding present for a couple getting married there.

I’d never actually heard of Old Court before this, but after visiting and seeing it for myself, I can completely understand why it’s such a popular wedding venue. It really is a stunning location.

Nestled in such a beautiful setting, with the historic building, gardens and surrounding landscape, it really is a stunning location for a wedding. 📸💍

🌈 Storm Light Over Donaghadee

I had so much fun capturing this rainbow at Donaghadee on Tuesday. It was a real challenge getting the drone in the air between the constant storm clouds rolling through and out to sea, but it was definitely worth the effort.

What amazed me most were the rays of light that appeared to radiate outwards from the sea beneath the rainbow. It looked absolutely magical. After doing a bit of research, I discovered these are called anticrepuscular rays. To capture them alongside a rainbow made the moment feel even more special.

A view of Strangford from above on a day that offered a bit of everything. The mix of sunshine and cloud made the lighting quite challenging, but I was pleased to capture the harbour, the ferry, the town, and the Mourne Mountains in the background all in one shot.

I don't usually share personal things on my page, but I wanted to share something very close to my heart.

Unfortunately, after a difficult week, we had to say goodbye to our Nyla this weekend.

Nyla was such a loving, gentle and friendly little dog who absolutely loved meeting new people and other dogs. She was a huge part of our family and acted as a mother and big sister to our other dog, Izzy.

She also joined me on many of my drone sessions, and was always happy to come along for the adventure. ❤️

She'll be greatly missed by us, and by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. 🐾❤️

A huge hello and thank you to everyone who's recently joined my page! We've just reached 1.5k followers, which is an incredible milestone, and I genuinely appreciate all of your support. I'm looking forward to sharing even more stunning scenery and drone photography with you soon.

For now though, I'm taking a couple of weeks off, so things will be a little quieter while I soak up the Portuguese sunshine. ☀️🇵🇹

Of course, I couldn't resist bringing the drone with me! If I get the chance to capture some of the breathtaking Algarve coastline and landscapes, I'll be sure to share them with you.

A sunset in transition over Murlough Beach. 🌅🏔️

From warm blues and oranges to delicate shades of purple, lilac and violet, the sky transformed minute by minute as the sun disappeared beyond the horizon. With the calm, mirror-like sea and the Mourne Mountains in the distance , it was an unforgettable evening to witness from above.

On the way home after a delicious meal in Donaghadee, the sun began to set and the sky put on an incredible display. Never one to miss the chance to capture a good sunset, I pulled the car over, launched the drone, and took to the skies above Donaghadee Golf Club Donaghadee Golf Club

From above, the immaculate fairways and vibrant greens of the course looked stunning, bathed in the warm golden light of the setting sun. Combined with the colours overhead, it was a scene that was impossible to drive past. Along with the iconic Donaghadee Lighthouse, you can even spot Scrabo Tower in one of the photos if you look closely!
