January 1st 2026 - Decided to get up early and head down to the beach to see the first sun rise of the New Year with my wife and son, not something I would have even considered in my youth.

As a photographer/videographer I believe it's my job to capture moments before they are lost to time, "like tears in rain", and make the mundane and ordinary, extraordinary! I have walked past this arrangement of faux flowers sitting across the mantle in my living room literally 1000's of times, but in this moment and with that lighting I seized the opportunity and captured them, freezing that particular moment for ever.
