RSPB Bempton Cliffs is my all time favourite place. There’s something magical about being there. Although I’ve only been lucky enough to visit a few times over the past couple of years, each visit was an awe inspiring experience that will live in my memories and images, forever.
I can’t wait to visit again, hopefully this year, to see and experience the wonders of the natural world, the Yorkshire coast and the beautiful wildlife, that calls it home.
This lovely Puffin, was perched at the edge of one of the cliffs, just taking some respite before going back out to sea, to fish for supper.
The day was gloomy, slightly overcast and there was some moisture in the air (that fine sticky rain, which nobody enjoys). I was lucky enough that there was a small break in the clouds, long enough to have a glazed stroke of sunlight, shine through. It was then, that I captured this photograph. Far from my best, but there was an aura about this particular Puffin, which has stayed with me since, I recall it every time I see this image.
