I wanted to share with you a quick what-to-do guide in case you ever suspect a scam or fall victim to a scam online.
Report an email you think is a scam
Forward the email: [email protected]
Report a text message you think is a scam
Forward the text message to '7726' or send a screenshot to: [email protected]
Report a scam website
Use the following link to report a scam website: https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/section/about-this-website/report-scam-website
Report a scam phone call
If you fall victim to a scam phone call, you can dial '159' to speak directly to your bank
Report an advert you think is a scam
Use the following link to report scam adverts: https://www.asa.org.uk/make-a-complaint.html
If you’ve lost money or have been hacked as a result of responding to a suspicious phone call, you should report it:
In England, Wales or Northern Ireland, by calling 0300 123 2040 or online using https://reporting.actionfraud.police.uk/
In Scotland, report to Police Scotland by calling 101.
