Room with a view.
For the second time, I've caught the aurora at this lovely location looking down Buttermere valley. The solar storm on the night of the 10th-11th October was just incredible. It lasted all night and covered the whole sky. Normally when the UK get aurora, the expected KP is about a +5 which is good, green glows on the horizon, KP6 is often columns. This one got to KP8, this put some visible colours and patterns in the skies directly above let alone on the horizon.
Prints are available upon request.
